Re: Hot Toys: Bladerunner & BTTF mentioned?

Here..

That says Blade Runner? Awesome! :lol

I'm not getting my hopes up until there's something a little more legible.

I am a real Chinese and I will translate the article for you.

Basically it's an interview with HT sculptors and they were talking about current and future projects.

Good news is, they are indeed making Anakin Skywalker (didn't say from which episode though).

Then they got to the part where they were talking about licenses that was constantly requested but could not be made because of licensing issues and BTTF and BR are some of them.

So sorry, folks, what the article did wasn't to confirmed the existence of BTTF or BR license but instead confirmed that HT will not do them anytime soon.

I guess you guys got all excited for so many pages for nothing.

I am just kidding, I didn't translate _____ . While I am really a chinese, I can't read a single word of chinese. So let's continue getting excited.:rotfl

Ironically, what you imagine they said makes complete sense as an explanation.

bladerunner would make sense... since they've got the license for ford for indy jones.

HT = truly cutting edge in 1/6th

Actually it says that Mr Roberts fell down a well and Lassie threw a 2.0 Joker at him. :slap

They did say this (Well badly translated by Google) on the last Ask Hot Toys

Will be released Indiana Jones Harrison Ford's "Blade Runner" commercialization plan available?
(As Shigeru Suzuki)

Masterpiece "Blade Runner", I want to achieve is terrible. However, due to licensing issues very difficult, this is one movie that can not be commercialized.
In fact, ever been around "Blade Runner" was mostly the product of non-licensed toys. Recently, however, that since the license was finally OK and commercialization of vehicle as a special project of the exception, we can be expected to be a figure in the future!
(Answer: Frank)

when i translated that article way back when it stated:

"at long last, in an exceptional case for a special project, permission was given to make a vehicle [referring to the medicom vehicle that came with the special edition of the blu-ray]. let's hope in the future figures can be made too."

hope rather than expected... the google translation and the translation that appeared on facebook got everyone's hopes up. however, at the same time they were being coy about the burton batmobile and that ended up as an announcement so who knows.

Those Plastic Enemies things are tricky. I've seen mentions of Nick Fury, Whiplash 2, and Clu in the past. They will probably happen but it could be years.

PE ask JC, Yulli, Kojun and GOX what charater they would like to do, Not HT is getting those licence.

But JC and Yulli still want to make a perfect Bruce Lee figure. Kim is hard working on a new BL sculpt. JC also mention he want to make the new BL rubber body so durable it can easily last 10 years.

JC didnt even know there is a DX Joker 2.0 project before coming to HK. :panic:

89 Joker sculpt by Yulli. :clap

I think you ve got more of an "in" with Hot Toys than you let on sometimes OMG.But thats cool.

10 years???

wow... aren't ht ambitious these days? trying their absolute best to make toys that don't turn to a podgy mush in less than a decade.

10 years :slap i've had bowel movements that lasted longer than that.
