It sends the message Hot Toys wants, you were all wrong about Bats.
It's amazing. It doesn't have QC issues.
How many HT employees does it take to swing a vote?
I'm starting to get the feeling they are quite a dishonest company and quite underhand. Judging by this kind of BS as well as their customer service and their behaviour with Enterbay.
:(

At the risk of getting flamed, I actually voted for the Batman Begins figure in their poll. Unlike many others, I was fortunate to receive an issue-free figure, and it looks phenomenal in my glass display case. Of course voting is subjective, since everyone has their own opinions.

But, regardless of the poll result, I'm pretty sure that Hot Toys is well aware of the plethora of quality control problems with the Begins figure. Sideshow would have notified them of that, when they were handling so many returns and exchanges a few months ago.

Oh they know about problems with Bats, they won't admit it though will they, like the previous rubber disasters. They always deflect blame away from themselves even though they have clearly ____ed up.
It has started to feel like they really don't care about their customer satisfaction. It's just about the $. Which is a real shame. There is no reason why they can't have both.

So true. I just hope my Batman 89' Keaton figure arrives okay as well.

Also, aside from the rubber issues that we're discussing, I have to exchange both Captain America and Superman EX with Sideshow. The Captain America figure has a crooked star on the chest, and Superman has a crooked S-shield :(. In general, Hot Toys quality control seems to be pretty lousy.

Don't get me wrong, I like my Batman figure, but it definitely isn't the best of the year!

I think that Superman, Classic Predator and Jack Sparrow are all better than him!

This is batman guys, that is why he will always win every poll, and people are paying $500 for DX02 on eBay...

Its the Batman factor and also the ''never got the 2008 one and therefore I don't care about the QC so much'' factor I think. I can't envisage anyone who already had the TDK release one voting for it.

To be fair, crooked knee pads has existed since the 2008 bat figure. Which also has had loose joints and slight scuffs. Oh and the rubber looking a bit dry and peeling. People just weren't as ____ as we are today.

But already broken ankles and dents in the stomach? That's new.

Yeah some are fine, some aren't.

But everything in this hobby is like that if you look close enough. That doesn't mean it's okay, it's just the way it is.

Yeah I know, but for the price we are paying the QC should have less problems reported than we have. Just like my Captain America and the crooked star on his chest. But the right side is that sideshow takes care of the problems. Hot Toys has to step up their game.

I finnaly have a detolf for Bats but I aint displaying him till I get me one of those custom capes. I keep saying im gonna get one but I keep putting it off.

^^^If the figure came with a cape as good as the custom ones, I can see this figure being in the running. But it still wouldn't deserve figure of the year.

I personally love the figure. But my preference (or anyone else's) shouldn't be what decides which is the best. Objectively speaking, there are better figures in terms of likeness, accessories, quality, and on and on.

Crap, I only now noticed mine has a crooked knee pad. So a loose ankle and crooked knee pad.

The knee pads are an extremely easy fix.

Just carefully pull them on and re-glue them with this:

So do I but... it's due to the Wayne sculpt. Though, better box.

Most of this figure doesn't spark any "hot damn!" the way it did back in 2008. Just like the Bank Robber Joker.

Hot Toys Bruce Wayne/Batman is winning in HT FB poll this year .. and i have no doubt the DX09 Keaton Batman Gonna win the next year Poll

Speaking for myself, this figure has a hell-of-a-lot more shelf presence/wow factor than the Bank Robber.

That said, The Bank Robber would have had more right to be in the running for figure of the year in 2008 than this does in 2011.
