Yep, avoid using a built-in flash whenever possible. Get a tripod or something stable to rest your camera on. Use a long exposure if you're in low light. Use the timer or an external//remote trigger so you're not touching the camera when the shutter opens or closes.

I always say leave the ISO as low as you possibly can, especially since we're dealing with still-life here. I'm a fan of hard shadows and dramatic, hard light. I use a lot of very small LED lights.

When it comes to posing, I'm rarely satisfied with my own shots. I do like using odd angles though, when I think about it.

Other people in here take WAY better photos than I do though. So those are just my two cents.

Thanks, I was looking for that kind of information :hi5:

:goodpost:

Great advice there. That's all the same stuff I did when taking point-and-shoot camera pics.

Again:

  • Tripod. (Or stack of books)
  • Long exposure (Most cameras let you adjust this. My last point-and-shoot let me set it for a 1 second maximum. In low light it would take that full second - and it was enough.)
  • Low ISO (Never more that 400, and 100 whenever possible)
  • Experiment with lighting and avoid built-in flash. (I often use my monitor as a light source.)

Great stuff, you are a master of photography, your pictures of Batman 89 are truly amazing.

Exposure is the same as Shutter Speed?

That is a beautiful looking cape Tony! :clap

There's something different about your cape compared to the lforigno cape. The lforigno is definitely great, but I really love the look of yours

really such a great cape! i love the way it hangs and how it looks on his back. I'd say you have one of the best BB figures my friend :clap :rock

Thank you Gipetto0812, our BB isn't near where we want to be yet, still has a lot to mod on him. Not to mention how bad we are in terms of posing and picture taking... :slap

Wow tony that cape looks spectacular!

I love how you can see the panels in the inside of the cape like the one used in the movie.

the panels inside the cape will also be use for other purpose. As soon I'm done with the mod, I'll post up some picture with it in the flying pose. The cape was designed for many purpose..... since I do not have a demon Batman, or else I'll make a demon Batman in the gliding position.

Sucks they couldn't pull off a better likeness of Bale with the new sculpt. Hot Toys has a history of almost doing an awesome job on their sculpts, but then being off by just a few hairs.

Yeah, when I said "long exposure" I meant "slow shutter speed".

Thank you sir. I should say that I'm operating under a different set of rules now since I bought a DSLR camera. All the suggestions I posted apply to point-and-shoot camera photography specifically.

Here's a repost of a few pics done with a point-and-shoot camera using the principles zipflint and I were talking about:
