Depends which suit you prefer

I paid around £200 for this figure when he was released, $400 converted to UK money tells me it's only £50 more than I paid so it's not a bad price and he is a very nice looking figure.

That's because the figure is worthless without gauntlets.




This is the last time I am saying this:

If you want the Takara gauntlets on the HT figure, buy the Takara figure and swap the gauntlets. The HT gauntlets look great on the Takara and you have the better gauntlets on the HT figure.

This gives you two Begins figures so you can have one of them as a first-night-out Bat - and that's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying two HT figures. I mean, if they are selling for $80 there is no excuse for not doing this.

I have taken Maglor's ultimatum very seriously Will be on a hunt for a complete TakBat now. $80 and not a penny more. I wish the fellow freak I have been pestering for the gauntlets makes it 80 shipped. The only issue is, doesn't this TakBat guy look a little malnourished, alongside the Hot Toys one? Don't know, just guessing from the pics I have seen. That's the reason I wanted to get only the gauntlets. Don't want the rest of the figure to sleep for eternity in the attic.

I paid well above $170 for the Takara Batman when it first came out and back then, it was considered a fair price as that was or near the regular MSRP and secondary market prices went beyond that, like $200-$250. I wouldn't have done anything differently. There's no way I could convince the 2006/2007 me that he didn't need one considering that was the very best Batman that inspired the great collectibles we have now.

Now people scoff at more than $80?
