I think the fatneck on the BvS suit looks incredibly goofy, I'm glad they slimmed it down a bit.

I prefer the streamlined silhouette. Like the comics and cartoons. BvS had it but less so here

With the exception of one particular picture where his legs looked a bit awkward, which I attribute to simply a bad angle, I'm liking the look of this figure more and more with each new picture that surfaces.

The JLA suit is a nice change, but I personally prefer BvS suit. I love the monstrously brute look. He looked like a beast! Prefer the huge fatnecked cowl and the more organic look of the suit.
This new one goes back to the roots of the pre-BvS batman which has a more tech-armor suit look.

I'm glad we at least get to see more of the BvS suit in the Suicide Squad movie.

I agree with you but I also see the reasoning (at least mine ) for the new suit. The on in BvS per the special features is supposed to be an old kind of over worn suit, that he hasn't worn for years. What he has in the cave is stuff that hasn't been touched in awhile just ilike the mech suit is "supposed" to be a hodge podge of bulky armor b/c that's all Bruce had to work with in his short amount of time becoming batman again. It only makes sense now that he's back in the game for him to have upgraded his suit to something new especially after being introduced to what it's like to fight someone like Superman and Doomsday.

We finally got to see a Batman whose suit has the functionality of the previous Batman movie suits, but still looks very much like the comicbook design. The organic look of the suit makes it more believable that he can move around it.
The older batman movie suits makes you assume he can do the same moves through cinema magic, but we all know its too bulky. Which is the principal reasoning for the TDK suit, which for me is one of the weakest in terms of design cause the complexity of the suit looks too much. Take away the ears and he doesnt even look like batman anymore.

I think they should have just kept his look to the same more organic look, with minor tweaks, same differences as the MOS vs the BvS superman suit, and have Bruce fight with a sleeker armored suit for the big battles.

I do like the JLA suit by the way...just prefer the BvS much more.

Figured I would add my cents:

I like the cowl better for JL than BvS. The slimmer neck together with the wider opening for his chin looks more like the comic book style I prefer.
I hated the Nolan/Bale cowls with the small chin opening and agree with Remy on the TDK suit.

I do like the BvS Batman suit better than the busier JL suit for that same reason and overall has been my favorite live action look for Batman.
It will be interesting to see what his other suit looks like in JL.

Right now I have on order the Knightmare Batman and my 2 pack Batman converted this week. I have a feeling those will not my be my only 2 Affleck Batmen.

I hear you man. we all like what we like I like both suits about equally. I really only see minor tweaks tbh though. You can still see the musculature on the suit but with a few armor plates embedded in the fabric but on top of the muscles like at the abs, knees, shoulders, etc. areas one might hit, land on and what not. Affleck was indeed a beast in BvS and the size/bulk of the suit helped but I don't think these minor changes will make him any less of one. The light tone of JL might though. Now if for whatever reason (not sure why they would though) switch to something like TDK for Affleck's suit then I too would be upset b/c like you said, take away the cowl and what do you have?

Yeah bud, I do like both suits.

And I see the reasoning of the re-design to emphasize a more protective suit.
Batsie needs to be able to hang with the metahumans.

Hate the sleek padded armor look of the JLA suit, neck too thin in the trailer too, ok in the promo shot.
BVS stays the best to me with its simple, brute mean look.
Neck would need to be modded tho, way too buff.
Thats waist zone looks weird tho.

heres some brightened caps from the sdcc footage ,might give some clue to how much was changed with the cowl

I really like the new cowl Affleck has in JL, it's definitely a better improvement on the BvS version.

Side note, I keep hearing people say they are happy the suit is black again but it's not it is just a darker grey is all. I think it's a charcoal grey I believe but anyway thought that was funny.

That's the picture where his legs look a little wonky to me. All other pictures, they seem fine. Perhaps it's just an angling thing in this one.

I hope the pants section can be pushed up to correct that.
