I dont like the way the costume hangs off of him. It looks like the shoulder pads are puffing up away from the rest of the costume when his arms are raised, while the real costume has them flush.

It's looks good, but the shoulders look a little puffy. Should be soon until the full reveal

he's got a jump harness built into the suit

Yeah the shot, especially when touched up so that it is easier to see the details, reveals more than a lot of people think and probably more than Hot Toys intended. It's a good looking figure, but I hadn't seen that Avengers promotional picture before and now I wonder if I should even bother, seeing that I prefer the normal Captain America look over this strange soldier hybrid.

It's like a lose/lose situation for me since in the event that they release a Captain America from the Avengers and it disappoints for some reason, I probably can't just go back and snag this one since the price will have sky rocketed by then. However, if I buy this and then I vastly prefer the Avengers one, then it'll feel like a waste once again. I don't like selling my stuff so I'd prefer not to play around with the secondary market.

Honestly back to the thread, this figure looks like it could be one of HT's best but like the SSC figs, it looks like it'll require a bit of futzing...maybe even a little water treatment.

The Avengers version with it's tighter fit suit looks like it'll be closer to what you'd see on screen from this one shot, especially the lightened one but who knows what material they'll use. What if they go with a rubber suit? Then this would be the superior option.

Definitely, the mixed materials, matched with a fantastic sculpt and hopefully a metal shield, this thing will sell itself. I really hope this is a Q4 release. Early Q4.

Hmmmm...It's kinda like not waiting for the release of a movie but _____ing about every little detail, saying it's not historically realistic, calling Chris Evans a poor choice for Cap or trashing the director every chance you get before you've even seen it.

BTW...I think this Hot Toys Cap looks awesome in the teaser.
