I don't trust this pleather jacket, so might take it off so I can pose the arms without worrying about cracking at the folds.

Those pleather arms might make a fine replacement for Vader's sleeves one day.

I think I prefer the shirt over the pleather jacket thing. Thinking about taking a bit of dulcote to his chest armor and ditching the jacket. When I get the figure next week I'll take a closer look at all this.

Thanks! Great pics - though you need to dust that TIE Pilot.

I guess they had to use the parachute material for the jumpsuit as opposed to the regular cloth like TIE pilot because of the Vader overshirt. It probably would have looked too puffy/thick if it was regular fabric with the Vader pleated shirt over it.

I definitely prefer the figure without the pleather jacket. I just don't like how it looks like he's wearing an insulated top and cool breezy pants.

Hahahhaha, I know and he stays in a cabinet - too much dust and body ash.

I think you nailed it there on the material, he would have been way too bulky if it were done with the material on the TIE pilot. Good call.

No, TIE pilot is straight out of the box - didn't change a thing.

Thanks for the détails. I guess size isn't as much of an issue for Imperial tech as it can be for pilots. I've always though being on the short/slim side for the latter was kind of an advantage if not a mandatory attribute.

I ordered one through a dealer from China whom i have dealt with this year when i ordered my VG Snow Trooper set. Got the DSG for less and free shipping to boot than what sideshow would charge me after taxes and duty and shipping are calculated. I decided on the whole set after i almost placed a order through TA for the helmet, vest collar, suit and belt and gun.
