Yes. This very much felt like it was setting up a spin off series. (With a very surprising villain.)

Eh? How is that a surprising villain? If you know who it is you must follow the non-live action as well so it was entirely expected... The name drop does demote Gideon's stature to small fry though

I just wish they'd bring them !!!

I mean how many did we have by this stage for Season 1 ?

After 5 episodes we'd had only 3 figures: OG Mandalorian, IG-11, and Heavy Mandalorian.

Then only 1 figure (Remnant Trooper) between episodes 6-8.

Then 5 figures released after the end of the season.

So, there's still plenty of hope.

It?s weird though my memory was the same, that the majority of figures went put up for pre-order before the end of the season. I was surprised that over half the line went up for po after the season finished.

Much like the introduction of Gideon did with the Client then. There's always a bigger fish.

Then the Yuuzhan Vong come in and it's Thrawn who?

I was kinda liking the fact they had a new bad-guy with Gideon. Not sure about heaping in all these existing characters, but I?ll go into each episode/season with an open mind. If the characters and stories are engaging, so be it. I personally haven?t had any connection to Ahsoka (never watched Clone Wars) but she was portrayed really well. Soulful badass.
Also....how freaking gorgeous does this season look? That destroyed forest with the huge creatures? silhouettes as Mando leaves the Razor Crest, so good. I?m along for the ride[emoji4]

I will say I’m glad I still will only want Mandalorian uniform Ahsoka. I don’t feel like I exactly need a live-action Rosario figure.

Now Mando has got a big-black-long @ss Beskar spear, we're definitely going to see some amazing saber close combat duel between him and Gideon in the final episode!

After this episode, def glad I didn’t hop on the PO for the CW Ahsoka. Pretty sure we’ll eventually get Mando version Ahsoka after enough time passes from the CW version original PO date. So far, aside from wanting some version of Mando (haven't decided yet), I’ll also want Ahsoka and Bo-Kataan from this series.

Good. I had zero interest in that and would probably have not watched it. Besides Kenobi and Boba spin-offs, there?s already two more spin-offs I?m more interested in out of the last three episodes alone.

I’d much prefer an X-Wing Squadron series if we’re going back to the RO/OT-era. A Blue Squadron show would be perfect, actually.

I really like Rosario Dawson as live action Ahsoka, she's just simply phenomenal!, same as Bo Katan! The inevitable onslaughts of SS2's figures going to suck me completely dry lol.

Post-ROTJ, as the big bad in the Filoniverse.

They can't have the Yuuzhan Vong post-ROTJ because they would be demoted as a menace since they isnt mentioned in the Sequel trilogy, the big bad villain in the Filoniverse is gonna be Trawn.
I think if they continue the Rey saga it would be awesome to have them as a villain, imagine all new gear for the new new republic and a Star Trek futuristic tech to show the future of Star Wars.

You don't think that spear is going straight to the armourer to melt down into Mando's missing right thing piece?

Madness!!! Rosario did a great job (although her fighting style was all kinds of wrong, very Anakin though) but she's still the pretender to the throne right now. I do hope she get's to do more though, perhaps in the spin off they are heavily implying so far this season.

Nah its going be an epic show-down between Mando (with his Beskar spear) against dark saber of Gideon to end SS2, its pretty obvious at this point.
