I wonder when he’ll discover Revenge of the Sith had clones in it. Looking in my crystal ball I’ll say 2025 for the 20th anniversary. Until then we’re stuck with every possible variant of the 501st… well, apart from the ones people actually want like Fives and Echo.

As for The Bad Batch, I’m really torn on which I want to see first. The heart says Wrecker, the head says one of the other two because they’re the most likely to end up in the Hot Toys bin.

He'll take the easy route as long as he can, because it makes economic sense to reuse moulds by issuing repaints.

At some point the various toy companies will have nagged Disney enough that the Bad Batch will decide to repaint their armour as well.

It's a never ending process, and I keep telling myself that I won't get drawn into every new Star Wars. I inevitably do get drawn into some of it, and never manage to keep to a cut off point that would limit where the collection goes.

I envy those who collect only the classic iterations from any franchise.

The Bad Batch are right at the outer limit of my interest in Star Wars, but so far they're looking so good as figures in their beaten up, motley armour. Hence my initial intention to have them represent mercenaries from the OT period. However, I got suckered into ordering CW Ahsoka, and I've walked round the collection room numerous times wondering where she'd fit in. The answer is "nowhere", apart from with the Bad Batch. :lol

Yep I find myself in much the same position. As much as I loved watching Clone Wars with my son back in the day, I just don't have the space or want to invest in every Clone. Therefore I see myself limiting myself to the main ones. Rex + Anakin and Cody + Obi Wan. A couple of cool looking clones and maybe one of those AT-ST walkers would make a nice "wow" diorama rather than just figures.

But I really don't want to go all in on every variant and army build etc

Bad Batch are a nice group on their own, and will really stand out on the shelf. But agreed, are also on the limit of the interest and space available in my collection.

Passing on the bikes. Chromed troopers might be a Day 2 announcement and I'm passing on those. Even with the AT-RT, there is still no figure with a face sculpt. Mace and Padme have to come Day 3 and 4? lol

I don't think we are getting Bad Batch since they showed a teaser but I hope I'm wrong on that.

Not much to celebrate during this "Celebration" it seems...

One or two of Bane, Krrsantan, Mace, Padme or Kit would be good. No figures with face sculpt announced would be considered a fail for me, even if you combine the entire month, I hope we get more throughout the weekend.

If they can make Armorer an exclusive, Kit Fisto can be an exclusive, considering the parts to make him.

Looks like we jump around a bit in the timeline, both clones and stormtroopers.

I think the show starts with the invasion of his home planet when he was a child, so that’s probably why we have the clones.

10 minutes into the Celebration stream and I want to vomit with the cringe already. Disney just gets Star Wars, doesn’t it?

Yeah, nobody wants to see all these nobodies talking about boring crap, all we wanna do is see trailers :lol
Pretty much yeah haha. If I ran Celebration it’d all be over in an hour.

EDIT: then the first panelists out have sfa to do with Star Wars :slap

Where are the damn aliens in the Andor trailer? This is Star Wars, not earth. WTF.

More bloody Willow!!! I get the feeling they want us to watch it. Just the subtle hints. Wasn’t the original bad enough, do we really have to be forced to watch a Disneyfied take on it?
