So far reports are conflicting. They suggested they were interested in Anakin, but Mr. Howard said that he wanted the HT figures to retain the "80s style of Star Wars" or some such, and that his interest goes back to his own childhood, suggesting he would have an OT orientation. I hope for the latter of course, considering there is only one figure planned per year. But then again. . .more money in my pocket if they wanna go after Jar Jar et al.

It could be but it being an only OT is not how I understood thing from comc-con.

I don't get the impression that there are licensing restrictions to certain films over others per se, but it seems based on that interview that Hot Toys can determine the characters it makes and its release schedule. There is supposedly only one figure per year, so I'm thinking a max of 10 figures. If the powers that be there love the OT, why use up a valuable spot on something they don't care about? Honestly, whatever they release, assuming it is a major character, will sell and sell out, be it Maul, Luke, Han, or Sam Jackson Jedi guy. But if they want to up edition sizes to 15,000+ or whatever, I would stick to the biggest of the big guns and probably produce Han, then Maul, then Boba Fett or something.

We shall see like I said it was my understanding HT would be concentrating on figures Sideshow has done previously.

If its only one figure per year, I think its a sure bet Han Solo will be the next.

I would guess Anakin or Han would be the next logical choice... if they can branch into non-human characters I could see Maul being a very likely choice given his popularity and they could even do the full body tattoos that have not been done by any company for a 1/6 figure.
