I hope Hot Toys pull a "Superman" and not an "Indy" with the production sculpts..
:lol Me too!!

I think the suit needs further tailoring too. The top half looks tight fitting, while the pants look loose.. should be more the opposite. Jacket pockets need to sit lower as well.

Wow.. this will be $500 easily. :(

I'll wait for production pics though with all the fiascos going on. :lol

Now lets not get crazy here :lol... even with a 2nd body I'm gonna guess he won't crack $300 (the DX Bruce with two bodies was $240). But rest assured this will be an expensive figure :lecture

Looking at the two next to each other, it looks like the nose is too thin and the eyes too close together on the clean sculpt.

Thanks for finding those pics, fellas!

I agree and also the clean sculpt makes it look as if he's squinting.

Keep the BD sculpt as is, but please redo the clean version. Looks nothing like Mark Hamil. Looks even less like MH than Indy does HF.

I agree, the clean sculpt is pretty off but on the whole, this release is one hell of a package!

I understand the reasons behind why a person would want to assume this will be $400 plus.

But I doubt it.

$299 is my guess.

I'm fairly new to the 1/6 world. Has there ever been a case where the outcry from the fans has made hot toys go back to the drawing board with their headsculpt? I saw it with the spiderman boots but I wasn't sure about a head.

This pic kind of looks like Luke is being stalked by Pamela Voorhees. :lol

HT has modified sculpts. And in fact, they have said that some changes were due to fan outcry. But how much outcry actually affects their behavior and leads to these changes? Unknown.

Yeah, they recently modified the Chris Reeve Superman following the initial prototype, and in the past have made mods to Blade, Wolverine, and Thriller Michael Jackson, among others.

Awesome. That gives me hope for this figure. Not in it's current state but it's future.

It's important to note that just because they have modified sculpts in the past doesn't mean that they will always tweak them for every release.

You shouldn't put money down unless you would be comfortable with the way the sculpt looks when it goes up for pre-order

Not to mention there is generally a very large window for pre-ordering these and most can be had for around retail even a bit after they are released. So there is a lot of time to make a final decision.

I agree that the normal head doesn't look quite like Hamill... but it doesn't bother me the way the Indy sculpt does. :dunno

Hopefully, we'll see some tweaking.

I think it looks great, i have no idea who Mark Hamill is, but it sure as hell looks like Luke Skywalker to me.

:)

Would buy with no tweaks AT ALL!
