Was that the sideshow one. The thing that put me off that was the flare of the helmet wasn't enough.

If this figure is around $280, I'd call it a good value, now that it's well known that this is two full figures with PERS and two display bases - so I would go for it. Any more than that and it looks like less of a bargain and I'd likely try to split a set with someone to get just the BD version.

As for future releases, the armored figures are SS's baby, I don't see HT getting a crack at them. SS is already releasing what promises to be the ultimate 1/6 Boba Fett and I think they'll take everything they learned from ANH Vader and wind up churning out the best ultimate Vader figure ever. I'm hoping HT will set their sights on Hoth/Bespin Han, Hoth/Bespin Leia, Chewie, Jedi Luke and some incarnation of slave Leia (can't quite see how they'd squeeze a DX out of that one?). A Jedi/Sith Anakin from ROTS would be most welcome, also.

I'm probably going to go for a split set. I just want the non-bd version. I don't want the box or the cloud city diorama. Hopefully I can pick up somebody's cast off.

Absolutely love this idea--- I've got my GG slave Leia statue slipped besides Jabba on his throne so I'd love a replacement.

I hope HT sticks with the core characters from the OT. Follow up the Bespin Luke (which I'm getting as ESB is my favourite of the SW films and this Luke is and always was my favourite) with a Bespin Han (with Hoth clothes), a Chewie (please oh please), and the droids. Spread them out at one every four to six months and I can definitely rationalize a $200- 280 price tag (depending on accessories/extras).

6. Why do you produce Luke as the first Star Wars project, but not other famous characters such as Darth Vader and Stormtrooper? Does it because Hot Toys process the technique of producing real-like head sculpts? Will the DX series focus on human character? Have you decided the next character yet?

Luke has always been my favorite character and my first owned figure is 3.75” Luke. That’s why I like him very much and actually this style allows much room for development – consists of broken arms and battle damaged version. Besides, head sculpt is also one of the main factors for our consideration. We pick character based on Sideshow’s product development – those haven’t been launched by Sideshow or won’t be launched recently will be our priority to avoid competition. And recently Sideshow has launched those with armor such as Stormtrooper and BOBA FETT. Actually there are over 1000 characters from the movie, so there are many choices and we haven’t decided which is next yet.

Right from the lips of Howard Chan himself, HT doesnt even know which is next. (or at least being tight lipped about it)

My guess is they will be keeping with the Original Trilogy for their SW DX line.

I'll buy it. I'm just hoping it doesn't get released until at least summer or late next year. I still don't know how I'm going to pay for DX Nicholson Joker and Iron Monger.
