Is this posted in the correct thread? In any case, putting license aside, those Platoon figures have phenomenal head sculpts. I might vote them for the best actor likeness I've seen with Hot Toys. Godfather and T1 T-800 Arnold (battle damaged) were also damn good.

I agree with you Barnes and Taylor look amazing but, to me, Joker is a new level of accuracy...and to get the thread back on track do you think the low price of Luke has to do with the SSC collab?

As much as I like the weathervane, I still kind of wish that it came with a background like Indy and Bruce Lee. Still, I really like the extra display pieces that come with the DX figures.

The Chris Reeve sculpt I think is HT best tbh.

I'd add Sweeney Todd to that too. though not a very popular character choice to some, that sculpt is undeniably Depp

agreed, though I think (like some or amybe a few mentioned before) the sculpt looks pre-car accident Hamil. I'm getting a slightly older ANH look in the HS instead of an ESB look. but it doesn't bother me so much. My first Luke figure and I'm excited as hell!

I think the hair would be too jarring wouldn't it, seeing it's meant to be 1980 Hamill..

I don't know. It seems a little long for 1980, but not quite long enough for 1977.

Nah - the hair on the clean HS looks right for ESB Luke, they did great with that. It's the face that's pre 1980.. so now here we are talking about subbing the head onto a 77 body / outfit.

Shame the clean face isn't all it could've been.. that said, I'm in for this sensational figure regardless of any gripes I have. The whole package is astounding & I'm just blown away that my fave version of Luke is getting the royal HT treatment!

I'm seeing the face as a boon if I can get away with a '77 Luke figure while we wait for an official one. I've always wanted a Bespin Luke for the sole purpose of having his ass kicked by Vader, and if Sideshow has an ESB Vader on the way in the next year or so, I'll be golden.

it would probably look pretty good in the Medal ceremony outfit, as a Between ANH and ESB luke, however.
