I thought the same thing with Tech Noir T-800 for this year and then Superman came along. I bet everyone will be singing a different tune around this time next year, especially if Darth friggin Vader is in the works.


I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing for next year, Iron Monger, Keaton Batman, Nicholson Joker, Luke (for the battle damaged stuff mostly) etc. The thing is though, 2012 hasn't even begun yet, imagine all the stuff that has yet to be announced.


Here's hoping for a HT Vader and Bespin Han for next year. I agree about Han though, if they make him I seriously hope he's either a standard MMS or doesn't have PERS. Maybe even have another sculptor have ago at Ford instead of Kim. I hate that Indy sculpt.

I consider T-800 a figure from last year, BUT. . .he's better than Superman. And possibly every other figure in my collection

There's going to be so much competition next year with the likes of Dark Knight Rises, Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man etc it'll be interesting to see what the HT landscape will look like this time next year. It's certainly exciting times ahead. I ordered an EX Luke the other day and although i tend to agree with opinions regarding the weather vane, i think overall it's great figure.

I don't buy that many figures. And this is another grail piece for me. This would even possibly top Vader cause i'm a huge Luke fan. It's finally a decent Luke and my favorite Luke.

Even with ASM and if HT did a Rocky DX and Vader, this will be hard to top in 2012(for me) hence my statement. But i say bring it on HT, top it!

(Spider-Man and Superman were the winners in 2011 for me)

I'm really looking forward to this release but for me 89 Bats and especially Joker are my most anticipated for next year...but this is the best deal by far for HT...300 for 2 awesome figs win win for us.

I'm excited for this first release. I know not everyone is enthusiastic about the "added value" display pieces, but I think they're a phenomenal choice. A big part of the appeal of the Kenner figures was the myriad playsets we enjoyed playing with them on. These display pieces pay a kind of homage to that, and the opportunity to display figures that way or not is a wonderful option.
This is going to be a very striking piece, and satisfies in a realistic way, those of us crazy enough to imagine a 1/6 scale Millennium Falcon or Tauntaun, one of which we're actually going to see!
Remember the days when we thought a 1/6 Jabba or Emperor's Throne were impossible dreams?
I'm so thrilled with this figure so far, and I'm really hoping they'll tackle ROTJ Vader, which is the last great 1/6 grail for me.

Agreed, right now, these three figures are my most anticipated. Bats is my desktop right now (though I'm more excited for Joker.)
