I think we will not see many versions of Chewie, I personally would be fine if if had a Chewie standing next to a Hoth Solo who had no snotty icicles.

While I'd generally agree with this... the ESB Han from Sideshow really needs updating; moreso than the ANH version. I could see both eventually getting released, but I'd prefer they keep to ESB for now.

ESB for me too and I'm betting that's the Han they do first. I can't imagine him coming with much. His breather mask and maybe some binders. Two sculpts would be nice, a serious version and a smirking one. No idea what they might choose as a DX base.

A genuine question - what's the main clue as to the speculation here towards the ESB characters getting love first & foremost?

I don't see HT including it. Personally I wouldn't display Han on or with it either.

If HT includes a large piece like with Luke I'd rather have something like a piece of the freezing chamber. Maybe what he stood on as he was lowered down into the chamber.

Mostly that they started with an ESB Luke, so an ESB Han would fit better thematically. That and there has been a longer gap between when Sideshow released the ESB versus the later ANH figure.

That and ESB Han just seems to be a bit more popular with fans.

And the fact it's been stated here that the head guy, can't remember his name, at Hot Toys favorite movie is Empire. So I'm sure we will see an empire theme for this year maybe another theme next year.

You can see in this pic that his jacket is grey, though in my mind's eye it's still blue, just like Han's Hoth coat.
