as much as I want a really good Han that I wouldn't have to mod, I think I'd want a really good Leia first. I don't own any version of either but for some reason I want Leia just a bit more than Han even though Han is my favorite character (next to Old Ben) in the OT

I really hope Hot toys fixes the reg head sculpt. The Battle damage head is great but I don't see Mark Hamill at all in the regular one. Considering this is a $300 figure, I'd want it to be immaculate for that price.

The dilemna though, is that some folks - like myself, would've preferred ONE definitive Bespin Luke with a knockout head sculpt, (100% or closest to) his necessary inclusions, & no additional figure or kitchen sink options.

Chasing down the pre-battle version on the aftermarket is going to be a royal pain in the a$$.

It's an awesome deal. I am exited about this figure (which isn't something I say very often about Star Wars figures these days).

No, I understand. If you're not interested, it's basically an extra $150 for a lot of filler. This hobby can really be a pain at times, but what can you do? Buy it and sell what you don't like and customize it to be what you dreamed of or don't.

Leia FTW. It's about damn time they did a female DX too... and she'd be the most deserving female character to be the first, imo.

She would make a perfect first female DX... From which film though? ANH is far and away the most iconic look, but aside from the cerimonial gown at the end she really just has the one look. ESB with both the Hoth and Bespin looks would be all kinds of awesome. I know a lot of folks would like a Slave Leia, but I can imagine it looking a little weird, and I'm not a huge fan of the Endor look so Jedi would be my last choice.

I can also see HT giving Padme a DX.

I think a Hoth/Bespin escape would be awesome.

She could come with two sculpts because she has two different hair styles and can come with one set of "dirty" clothes. She could also come with a Mynock mask and some other stuff.

Good deal or no, the reg head could still be improved a lot. I know Hot Toys have done tweaks to many head sculpts in the past that improved on their promotional material. I just have my fingers crossed that they do it this time, otherwise I will only pose this with the battle damaged head.

If you only want one of the two figures; it should be fairly easy sell the second and cut the cost in half or even part it out and possibly make a bit more.

PT - Ep II Anakin, Ep III Anakin, Ep II Obi-wan, Ep III Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon, Queen Amidala, Arena Padme, Count Dooku, Aayla Secura, Darth Maul
EU -- Mara Jade, General Thrawn, Xizor, Darth Talon, Asajj Ventress

If not HT, someone needs to make a high quality 1:6 line.

HT will never make EU characters, its not there way. Besides that, your list will most likely be covered in some form, except maybe oola.

This will be a good deal when they fix the normal headsculpt. The BD version is excellent. Otherwise it's $150 per figure with one of them having an average likeness.
I've ordered one but I'm hoping for improvements.
