I had her daughter watching Fellowship of the Ring daily when she was two, but she never took to Star Wars at all. If you asked who she liked more, Padme or Leia, she'd pick Leia, but she couldn't sit through a movie.

Then one day when she was about 10, her cousin happened to be watching Empire and she got sucked in completely. It was like pulling teeth, but I finally got her to admit that she watched the whole thing, and that yes, it was too awesome for words.

Only had an older brother... so no complaints about SW. Although I always coveted his SW toys as he took better care of them than me.

However, years later he had to sell all his to pay some bills in college while I've gone onto finish my collection :lecture :rock

Yeah, was just thinking the same thing, though I'm sure table/lamp/chair added to Joker's cost (plus all the accessories like knife shoe, etc.). Regardless, though, really looking forward to seeing this figure in October. Wonder if they'll have an updated version to display at SDCC this year (assuming they made any tweaks at all).

******* it![/Cartman] Thought I was finally out of the woods on that one! :cuss

I would like to see this myself! Do you think they have made any changes? I know he's been pushed back so maybe. I've ordered him long ago so I'm n regardless.

I have my son watching now... He's through ANH and ESB now. As I told GB the other day, no PT crap for him till he's old enough to handle massive disappointment... Anyway, he likes it at this point but he'd choose Toy Story over Star Wars any day of the week. Still, there's hope... He tells me he loves the bad guys (Vader and the Stormtroopers) and he goes ape ____ crazy when the Space Slug tries to eat the MF! Hops up on the couch and runs the length of the entire sectional yelling "Oh my gosh!! Again Daddy!!", so I then rewind... I think his first viewing of Empire took a good three hours due to watching that scene 20 times. :lol

Right now my daughter is really into Disney movies... its cool seeing her enjoy classics like Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland.

Exactly!!! I was shocked but stoked at the same time. It’s going to be damn cool seeing him experience the movies in his own way.

See, that's what it's all about, right there! I mean, I know we all love these movies, but for us, it's more of a nostalgia trip, because we've seen these movies how many times? Let's face it, the freshness has worn off! :lol

But it's such a treat to expose kids to these movies for the first time, especially when they have reactions like the "space slug syndrome"! That excitement, it's just awesome. And, yes, I showed my nephew the OT for the first time back when he was a tyke (there were no PT movies at the time) - he had much the same reaction I did when I was little: "Oh no! Death Vader!" :lol And yes, he's still pretty nerdy, God love 'im! :yess:

So help me, I've watched so many Disney and Pixar films over the last three years, it's crazy. Still, I don't mind... I love just about every Pixar movie and it's really great to re-watch the Dinsey classics 30+ years later.

:lecture:lecture:yess: Yup! It brings back that special nostalgic feeling. I love sitting there answering all of his questions... Oh, and he calls Obi-Wan "Number-One"...:lol

I've started to have a clear out of my unwanted stuff to get the cash together for this. Mission "Clear out the shed and buy Hot Toys Luke" is now a go!

Same thing here. Found myself the other night going through many of the old 7" - 12" figures I bought years ago and researching what they go for on evilbay.

The sad part is, most of them aren't worth much more than what I originally paid for them, so if I am lucky the whole lot will get me $400 - $500. With HT prices going up and up, I'll be lucky if I can afford this and Joker 2.0 with the sales.:thud:

Great minds think alike!!!
I'll be selling my Bespin Sideshow Luke, an aquarium or two and I just sold an aquarium light unit about 3 hours ago. So far I have about $90 towards my Luke fund.

Roll up...roll up...this grown man needs a very expensive dolly!!!!

Im worried if the SSC Vader will have the same proportions as this HT Luke.

My last non-clone human from SS is Anakin,
and even the recent clones seemed to have larger head sizes than HT figs

A major factor why im getting this is to pose him with the new vader
can anybody enlighten me in this issue :s

I think its a pretty safe bet that SSC is going to make this Vader "work" in display with HT Bespin Luke. I think with this, HT Luke and the Carbon Freezing Chamber Environment, all three of these are being made in mind for each other Im sure.
