Really hoping it's Episode 3 Anakin Skywalker! I want to give Hot Toys another year to practice Harrison Ford's face... especially with these all being DX releases and the PERS on Indiana Jones made him look off with some PERS positions while great in others.

Since DX07 and 10 both do not have makeup on their eyes, only then can we judge the improvement of PERS on figures w/o makeup. I hope their isn't the eyeliner issue with 07 or 10.

It would make sense to go OT, PT, OT, PT to keep both camps happy. Especially if its only ONE release a year.....

Are there two camps? Im pretty sure there are those that can stomach (or maybe even enjoy) the PT and those that deny its very existence, but show me a star wars fan that's of age to afford these figures that likes the PT more than the OT... Pretty sure most would be just fine with OT releases vastly outnumbering the PT :lol

..guess I'll just go over to my corner and sulk..

There are three PT characters I hope to see "early" on from Hot Toys. ROTS Anakin, ROTS Obi-wan, and Darth Maul.

I just picked up the hasbro 12 inch luke and yoda for 20 bucks to make my dx luke a dagobah training look with him backpack yoda training mode....gonna be sweeeeeeet already got dagobah already waiting for this one......

Hey man, you're not alone. I'm one of the younger guys that enjoys the PT. I still prefer the OT, but I still also really enjoy the PT. Too many people dog on the PT but never even credit it. Every time I try to get a girlfriend to sit through the entire Star Wars saga, they always comment about how the OT's lightsaber sequences pale in comparison to the PT.

Darth Maul would be great. Him and Mace Windu would be my main priorities of HT figures. Especially Mace.

OMG... I'm right with you on that. I would love a HT Mace Windu and Darth Maul. I'm holding off on preordering the Medicom Darth Maul and buying a SSC Windu in case HT announces something during SDCC. I have a Medicom Snape that's fantastic, but I'm worried their Darth Maul would look funny next to SSC/HT figures due to height and lightsaber differences. Plus... everyone here seems to treat Medicom Darth Maul's body like it's made out of paper.

Visual effects don't make a movie. They really helped with the lightsaber duels in the PT. Especially in ROTS.

Oh, I agree with you. I'm just saying the PT weren't the worst thing in the universe like some people seem to label them as. I think all 6 movies have their strengths and weaknesses... not saying all of them have equal quantities though. :lol

I can't really say I prefer one over the other, but if I only had one minute to choose I would probably go with the PT. They were "MY" Star Wars movies (yeah, I'm young), and overall I just think they had equally amazing characters (Jar Jar aside). I have an unexplainable attachment to the PT, though ESB is my favorite SW film. There are more PT characters I want as figures vs OT, mainly from Hot Toys. Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, Anakin, Padame, and Count Dooku are all figures I would take before any other characters. Though I know I'm mostly alone in that, I'm okay. I'm patient after all. I'm just as happy to get Han Solo, Chewbacca, or Lando for example at the end of the day. :)

I really wish they gave the option to just get one of these. I have no desire to pay $250-$300 when I only want the regular version of the figure.

Just sell the BD one. People seem split on whether they favor the BD Luke or regular Luke, and if you sell off the BD figure with all the appropriate accessories and the vane, I'm sure you'll find a buyer (especially when you'll be selling a HT figure at roughly $150 in a market where a bare-bones HT Amazing Spider Man is retailing for over $200... :horror)

Yeah, but, I still don't wanna have to outright pay the $300 and then find a buyer for the other. Because I'm cheap. And in high school

Well, the average salary in this thread alone is significant. I'm guessing that's what they're fishing for, and not so much the allowance/minimum wage crowd. It's cool that you have the money to consider it at all, but this market isn't tailored for a high school paycheck.

I make a decent wage as an IT guy in the summer, and I can afford the Sideshow stuff (even though they are now getting high), but this guy is just out of my price range.
