It's definitely possible, but I guess it all depends on the sculptor's eye, & how concerned LFL is or isn't..

Serious? That thing looks like a plastic dolls head, either that or he's spent too much time in the make up room. It's awful.

Different tastes I guess! Maybe it's better in hand?

Yup, the Premium Format. It's average. Looks too much like a doll and the eye's are all freaked out, big rubber lips and eye brows like Austin Powers..

It does look more like him but in a fake try hard way as opposed to a quality "Wow!" type way. Like when you pick up the Christopher Reeve Superman.

EDIT: Although I'm just judging from You tube vids and photo's. I guess it could be slightly better in person.

I agree, the SSC factory paint work has almost always been a let down - at least with the 12 inch line.. but the Hamill sculpt on the Jedi Luke PF is - close to, if not spot on.

A better paint job would've enhanced the sculpt, but it does look a bit gluggy. Anyway, I don't own it - or any other SSC human figures for that matter. Quibbles aside, HT Luke is an outstanding figure, for sure.

The 12inch really does have that stunned mullet look, so I played on what you posted.

I agree with Pixletwin in thinking that the needs of PERS negatively affect sculpts somehow. When HT just paints heads, their hit/miss ratio of likenesses is much better than when they do the PERS heads (which is about 50/50, and some are pretty major misses).

The PF is definitely better in hand, although like with most/all of SSC's products, a quality repaint would do wonders. Don't fault the sculpt though, there's no denying the likeness.

I agree too. I've hated PERS since the first DX Joker.

Yeah, my last flex is scheduled for the middle of October, currently. Hopefully its not pushed back any further.

Waiting over a year since the full proto was on display is getting a bit ridiculous.
