Good points. That's my plan with it too (to offload one or both if it doesn't turn out well enough). I've still got the relatively crappy SS version to get rid of too.

Wait on this isn't really bothering me at all since we know everything about it, more or less. I find the wait more annoying when we only have a photo or something to go on but no details on release or price. A good example would be the Tamashii R2 and 3PO (don't know price, scale, estimated release, etc.).

That actually bothers me less because you aren't committing to anything. Sure, it's annoying, but with this figure SSC takes some of our money as hostage, then makes us wait 10-11 months or whatever before finally releasing it. A lot can go on in the interim. I would prefer a NRD policy where you get refunded if it takes an item over 5-6 months to ship.

Karamazov, if you are serious about cancelling, call SS and explain that you are frustrated by the delay. Odds are good they will refund the fee or at minimum let you apply it to something shipping soon.

That's a good idea Justin, though I'm in no rush to deal with their customer service again after a horrible recent experience I had trying to get my Terminator statue refunded.

Pretty soon I'm gonna be one of these bitter people that starts up threads with loaded titles like, "Do you like the fact that SSC hates you and charges an NRD but makes you wait 15 years for the release of the product?" :lol

What a great idea . . .

I thought we were supposed to get 1-2 figures a year for SW? I guess they could announce another SW character when Luke finally gets released and wait a year for that one and the next announcement? :lol :(

Why does everyone blame the PERS for the clean sculpt looking slightly off true likeness? The battle damaged sculpt got the PERS too!

they showed this at 2011 SDCC right....this have been on hold for a while now....oh well....maybe they are working on a great new light up lightsaber.....I kid, I kid....who knows what the delay is...I really had high hopes for the HT's SW's line but it hasn't even gotten rolling yet....maybe GL called them and made them fix something?

Well I think it's for the fact that the ex. head seems to use the same base sculpt as the "clean" DX head, but looks much less like Hamil, so it's one of the better apples to apples attempts we've had at gauging the effect of the googly eye gimmick on sculpt. PERS doesn't always fail (e.g., the battle damaged sculpt here) but it seems to be associated with a less than ideal final sculpt about half the time.

Personally I think Mark Hamill has one of those faces that's not really got any stand out defining features like say Arnold or Jack Nicholson.

I can't imagine what a better sculpt would look like. Not that I think that this one is great, just that it doesn't really bother me because it's Luke and it looks like the character to me. A little bit like how Wolverine doesn't really look like Jackman but the figure is cool.

The whole package sells it for me.
