I saw less of him in the other sculpt. But you were satisfied with that one, right?

Yep, we're pretty much opposite on that. I was 100% satisfied with both the clean and BD protos, along with outfit, material, etc. I agree with those that say it was idealized a bit but I still saw Hamill. Don't see Hamill in the production clean sculpt at all and less so in the BD sculpt than I did previously with the proto.

Pics posted above by Wor-Gar really say it all. Man, his eyes look 100% better in the proto. And why's the head gone egg-shaped (er, upsidedown egg-shaped... his jaw appears wider than his cranium)?

The other possibility is that, like Indy, it's a sculpt that will never look good in photos. But *some* will like it more in-hand.

That could be a PERS factor too ...

The other possibility is that, like Indy, it's a sculpt that will never look good in photos. But *some* will like it more in-hand.

Exactly. If the new pics are good, this is a big case of bait and switch, but I'm hoping we have some really bad photography.

Crap. It will still be worth $300 for the two figures and the playset, but it will be time for some custom headsculpts.

how come on the sideshow website, bespin luke is the only one that has this "Please Note - Prototype Shown" in the product description?

im betting they knew for awhile he was going to come out looking like that
