PALPATINE CRUSADER!!!!
Decisions, decisions. It was a great first attempt, but I'm not sure Hot Toys' Luke is better than the competition's.....
Here's the pic of the whole thing:
HUGE!
I don't see it working. Its too thin down low to plug into the base and hold the figure upright that high.
Mounting it into the ceiling? Thats a bit insane frankly.
My feeling is they put a 2nd metal grating "Luke Skywalker" base underneath to demonstrate that was the base, not the Antenna.
Plus they are already displaying the clean one on the base, this just gave them the oppurtunity to change it up a bit.
Isn't it possible for someone there to simply ask these questions, like if it's included, if Indy is the final version etc, or will they not answer?
Also note that 4-Lom isn't on a typical SS SW base, hes right on the display itself, I wouldn't assume that it comes with him.
I'd disagree... unlike the rest of the odd staging on the platform the antenna is unique to Luke and looks like something made for the figure. It will likely break down into smaller pieces but my guess is that the antenna is part of the DX package but not the reused black IM stands.
One thing sparrow doesn't come with a LFL license fee. Indy is same at $250 and has one head scuplt. I think that shows how much LFL gets and they get more for SW then Indy.
I agree, antenna with the figure, everything else isn't. Though i'd love one of those bases all the figures in the display are on.

I think its exactly the opposite man.
That black grating base is seperate from the display "orange" lit grating underneath.
It says "DX Luke Skywalker on it, has the typical HT Crotch Grabber Stand plugged into it, and its under the non BD Luke and a 2nd one is under the antenna. Thats definately the DX base whether the antenna is included or not.
why would you want your Luke riding that weather vane?
I dunno, I think it's pretty amazing actually.
I was thinking that the center rod could be made of metal to support it all, the bottom base heavily weighted, and the top mostly just plastic so that it could stand up without having to be attached to anything, but I can't tell from the pictures whether it's got any external support.
Still why everybody think that this gonna be DX.

Didn't Luke's outfit get pretty beat up during the duel with Vader? It would be awesome if they did something like the Michael Jackson Thriller figure and gave you two outfits and two heads, so all you need is to supply another body and you get two figures. Then you can have one on the antenna and one pre-fight clean version.
