Didn't Luke's outfit get pretty beat up during the duel with Vader? It would be awesome if they did something like the Michael Jackson Thriller figure and gave you two outfits and two heads, so all you need is to supply another body and you get two figures. Then you can have one on the antenna and one pre-fight clean version.

Pretty positive that it the case here... were people assuming anything different?

Oh, I guess they could just have one set of boots, belt, etc. If that were not the case I'd be pretty bummed; I'm hoping this is a 2 figures (minus the body) situation.

This is a great piece but it has to be a PERS right, because that would be the worst if the eyes were stuck like that :gah:

The way the hair is sculpted, like the DX Joker, it should be right, does anyone know for sure :dunno

Didn't think of that, but could be worse, you'd just need the boots and belt. With Indy you need pants, boots, a shirt, and bag to use the 2nd outfit.

Oh and a 2nd head.

I guess you're right. I didn't notice the "battle damage" on the one outfit before. I do hope you get an entire second outfit though. He has his belt, boots, holster, etc.

The eyes look like PERS... you can tell they are not standard painted ones. Also PERS seems to be a hallmark of the DX line.

I'm hoping if that is the case TA will do a parts pre-order. I'd pay a bit extra to get the 2nd display option.

I guess in a pinch you could use some of the Sideshow parts as well :huh

I was confusing my DX... I thought Sparrow was more than Indy. Damn, maybe $250 is the bottom price on this one :huh

I have felt $275 was the price before any pics, now I really think $300 especially if antenna is included, I would not be surprised to see $325

If Luke does come with the antenna, I have no intention of posing him on it, either. But it seems like something he would come with given recent trends with DX figures (Sparrow's wheel, Indy's idol pedestal)

I wouldn't mind the antenna but wouldn't use it, its cool but ultimately a pretty lame way to display a hero like Luke at his lowest, most helpless, most painful and rock bottom moment. Hey your Dad's a butcher that caused a Univeral holocaust, your friends been kidnapped, your hands gone and your trapped hanging at the mercy of your friend's rescue after you blew off Yoda. Snapshot. :lol

I'd rather just have him beat the hell up looking and still holding the saber like he looks right before losing the hand when he was taking on Vader.

:rotfl :exactly:

I'm tempted to put together my Luke (probably similar to what you mentioned as it's just more visually interesting) and sell off any additional dio/costume parts to help soften the price tag. I never display duplicates of the same character or costume change a figure once I'm happy with the display.

You might be right. Does anyone else see the day that an action figure will be close to $500? Insane!

Yea I've spent $800 twice on Rainman figures, and $4-600 is pretty standard to finish a full custom which is what the majority of my collection is.

My interest is how many and how far will the people use to paying only $80 follow this company before it all blows up in their face and they peak.

I'll definitely be out of the game when/if figures hit the $500 mark.

$100 used to be my cut-off when I got into the game in '08.

Then the cut off was $125. Then $165. Now I have HT Supes on order for $210, although he's on the bubble and may end up canceled.

I was after the Suit Up Gantry for Iron Man but that price is a big time no way. I'll wait for the Batmobile, at least I'm expecting to pay big $ for that already.

Dane I can't even believe I'm buying this, it's Star Wars, and some of the money goes to Lucas, it makes me want to cry but Hot Toys is just too damn awesome, they are making me go againt my morales. :lol

But yea Luke is one character the prequels etc didn't bastardise so what the hell. I'll easily pass on Boba who years ago I'd have considered waaaay cooler but I think of that damn kid, Vader I think of Hayden yuck. Luke should be ok though.

And yea beat up but taking on Vader to save his friends against the advice of Yoda etc, was very heroic so it'll be a good display. The result of his heroics and the human wreckage leftovers, not so much. :lol

I paid $325 for my Han and Luke Stormtroopers...by HASBRO!!! In the nineties...well rember how RARE they were....:slap :lol

Man, I know its mean... but I get a chuckle every time you post that story :lol

I guess if this has a complete w/2nd body option like the Bruce Lee figure I could see the $300 price tag. BUt I'm still thinking if its just two sets of clothing, one body and 2 heads we'll stay in the $250 range.

If he's really pricey, I may just keep one set of the BD Luke and sell off everything else (including diorama parts) to help mitigate the cost a bit. That's really all I need from this release, based on what I'm seeing here.

Regarding Lee, the extra body only cost $20 more than the regular! Would be awesome if that were the case here, but since the body is probably just a regular narrow shoulder TT, they probably won't include it.
