It shouldn't take that terribly long for these to get cleared, but Sideshow will have pretty much no idea until customs releases the figures.

I didn't get one, but I flexxed. My last payment is supposed to be taken out tomorrow. I wonder if that's still happening. Usually, Sideshow sends an email a day before the payment.

It should be noted that the Bats email stated that they are expecting them to be released early next week, so here's hoping that Luke gets released early next week as well.

What exactly does a customs inspection involve? I don't want my figure tampered with!

Sideshow was probably hoping these shipments would be released by customs, and then shipped out, by the end of the week. They waited until they were certain it wound't happen this week before they sent the emails out.

The customs inspection shouldn't be anything too invasive. They won't open up all the boxes or anything. These were likely shipped in boxes within boxes, shrink wrapped on pallets in large shipping containers.

Customs simply needs to make sure the number of boxes and their contents matches up with the shipping manifest. I can't imagine they will even open anything past the outer cardboard containers.

I'm a longshoreman on the east coast and if the CBP(customs and border patrol) procedures are the same on the west coast as they are here, the most they will do is X-ray the shipping container, check to see if the seal numbers match from the manifest to the container doors, open up the container and inspect the first few boxes of merchandise. If they find anything suspicious they will investigate further but usually if there is nothing of concern it will only be delayed a day or two from the time it comes into port.

Therefore this should only be a short delay. Fingers crossed.

Mine is being charged on the 20th and its a bit odd I haven't received an email yet either for my ex luke.

took a break from all the horror movies i have been watching to watch empire again (hurry up and ship luke!) and man, empire is the best freaking movie ever. still my favorite. still the king. when luke comes into the carbon chamber and vader is standing there...'the force is with you, young skywalker, but you are not a jedi yet'...and the ass whooping that vader proceeds to administer as he gets more pissed off is flipping ten kinds of awesome. still after all these times watching it, after all these years, just holy crap. cannot wait to get this figure! soooo stoked.

I hope you're right. My Tumbler was basically destroyed because of customs. Everything was ripped apart and thrown back inside. This is not good if it's delayed cuz of customs.
