Those are such minor issues, though. I would think those very are easy for SS to address and fix, especially for a Vader 2.0.

I don't know though, they make nice figures but capes have been a weak point for them, and as far as the height, I'd love for them to acknowledge him being too tall and adjusting the body, but I feel like because of having so many pieces for him made on the old body that they'd just stick it out.

Even if HT was given the green light to make a Vader, it would still be ways off, since SS already stated they were working on other Vaders (ESB and ROTJ). I think that SS will allow HT to make human characters (Maybe Chewie since they have experience with furred figures, Planet of the Apes), while they make everything else.

Just cuz Sideshow said they were working on Vader, doesn't mean it wasn't a reference to HT. Who knows how long this collaboration's been brewing, how many figures are ready and waiting to be unveiled. They could know HT would be working on a Vader and just comment that more would be coming for the sake of keeping enthusiasm among collectors.

Only if SS allows it, which would be a longshot. I think in order for us to see a HT Vader, HT would have to get the SW license themselves.

That's fairly shortsighted don't you think? I mean Sideshow could easily allow HT to do an ANH Vader since they've sold that one through and really have no tie to it or even allow them to do an ESB to match the Luke while they themselves offer up an ROTJ. Either way Sideshow is the current license holder on lease from Hasbro so even if HT does every single Vader in 1:6 from here on out, Sideshow is still getting paid just like Hasbro is getting paid on the HT ESB Luke.

I don't see HT saying "We'll only take humans!" since really the most recognizable piece of the Star Wars universe is Vader, what I see happening more than anything else is SSC saying that HT can do figures from things they've already done meaning that we will probably not se a Boba from HT for a long time but a Vader from one they've already done (ANH or human ROTS) or one they might not be planning on doing I would imagine would be fair game.

I'd even buy an ROTS HT Vader armored up even though it's my least favorite look of the armor.

The Batman capes weren't stellar either. They should be contracting lforigno for the next version :)

*sorry, forgot I was in the DX Luke thread :monkey1

All you said could be the case. And I really hope you are right. I just dont see SS passing Vader over to HT.

Excellent, but we need official pics at this point now. :)

What was this QTR 1?

(still can't believe it's happening)

so cant wait for this figure,,,reckon it would look superb with a 1:6 R2 unit
:clap Exactly!!

Posed with his blaster at the ready like in the photo on the alternate Kenner cardback for the 1980 action figure. I'm loving this Luke figure the more I check the pics out! :yess:

The only thing that worries me about this figure is how much HT will charge for it. Other than that, I'm loving this figure :)
