I tend to agree.
They've got stuff brewing - you'd be silly if you thought they didn't.

But it certainly isn't because HT gave up on this license.
I'm not quite so pessimistic in regards to the OT and Disney. They'll avoid the PT, for sure, but they can't be blind to how much money there is to be made from the OT. My guess is that there'll be a blend of OT/sequel merchandise (and I'd think the OT becomes more relevant with sequels than prequels -- especially with the inclusion of Ford, Hamill and Fisher), with the PT completely abandoned.
I don't think anyone has been speculating on any of those other points you've made. My only guess, based on experience in design and engineering, is that their plate is full with their on-going licenses, which by all accounts also sell through much faster and likely make them more money.
You guys can't make that assumption that PT will be ignored knowing full well at least according to Chan, the next figure is Anakin. Then after Han is Padme (which Chan said would be in 2015, fat chance)
Personally I'd be ok without any PT figures, though I'd buy obi wan, mace, yoda, AnKin, Padme, Qui Gon, Dooku, Maul and Palpatine. No one else though.
I don't mind Anakin as the second choice but not when they are putting them out so slowly. Which is why I'm counting on Enterbay to bless us with more nice little surprises like Han.
I'm hoping we get a Leia next.
Lol, that's virtually all of the main characters.

Apparently the new SS Sixth Scale Vader is a collaboration with Hot Toy's.

its the one thing sideshow can't do for ****.
Never gonna happen unless they want to lose money. And seeing their release schedules, losing money is not high on their list of priorities. Also, releasing things to tie directly into movies is not how HT rolls - they're usually around a year or more late for everything - don't expect that to change.
Related to the other parts of the recent discussion, most of the Star Wars value is in the original 3 movies. Those with the disposable income (adults) care about the OT, not the abortion that were the prequels. Disney bought a franchise with existing value and they're already making money from it. They will not "forget" anything as their M.O. has always been about realizing continued income from historic properties.
