Only the hair magnets wrong with mine - right out of the box.

On a related note, I just put the antenna on the ceiling last night and it looks great. Now I just need to replace the bespin skyline background with the new and updated version I've made. And of course throw Luke on there.

Sweet! Let's see some updates.

The antenna mounted is in my office thread - the link in my signature will automatically take you to the latest unread posts. ;)

I'll hopefully have the new background printed next week, just have to verify a few last details as I'm printing everything up in pieces on large 24"x36" single sheets and want to make sure I haven't messed up any margins, crops or completely forgotten about some piece.

It's interesting (not surprising), just HOW many folks here have had issues with the hair & holster magnets on their figures to date - myself included!

Additionally, the right shoulder pocket flap tore off on my BD Luke jacket as soon as I got him out of the foam coffin.

That said - a few minor repairs, & it's all good now. While this stuff shouldn't really happen, the pieces are fragile..

I had both saber clips laying in the foam, just fell of the belts in the box. The top half of my antenna was loose as well, pulled the wiring out when I picked it up but none of the wires themselves came loose from their contacts luckily.

Really bad batch of glue or the gluer did not know how to use it. I glued the antenna back together but afraid it wont hold the weight if I ceiling mount it now so have it standing on my desk. Also had two more pouch things fall off one of the belts when I undid it to glue the saber clip back on.

Not the best QC on this figure compared to my other HT/SSC purchases.

I thought the same thing that the bd jacket was messed up but then I realized its supposed to be that way, watch the movie,he has the pocket torn.

It starts to feel like there will surely be a QC issue when I go pick mine up... sort of worrying :/

I wouldn't worry, Cingen. All the QC issues with Bespin Luke are very minor and easy to fix (re-gluing magnets, for the most part).

This HT Luke will be a collectors item! HT's one and only ever Star Wars figure.:sleep

I don't get posts like this. (Not singling you out but using your post as an example for many).
Howard Chan himself stated they would only be doing 1 Star Wars figure per year.

Whilst this is disappointing, the lack of anything new is not a surprise.

They did say that but hasn't almost 2 years passed since Luke was first shown? It's disappointing and at this rate it will be a sub par collection of spotty choices when it's all said and done, I will gladly take any SW fig offered prequels included but I don't have much faith in hot toys unless they release one off of the heels of another one to make up for the year they missed.

I'm not singling you out either but…

DX07 was shown in 2011 and released in early 2012. Nothing else was shown in 2012. Nothing else has been shown or released in 2013. And we've seen a lot of behind the scenes and sneak peeks of Hot Toys product, without so much as anything that can be construed as belonging to the SW universe.

I won't hold my breath for any HT SW figures before 2015, if they ever come around again. It's pretty clear where HT's focus lies, and judging by the way certain licenses sell through, it's not unexpected they're not in a hurry to produce SW product.

And at the end of the day, Sideshow is well on their way to releasing product that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with HT in terms of quality overall, even though they do really need a superior base body - HT's TT are far and away the industry's best.

I didn't write my post fast enough! ;) You guys got in there with your replies while I was still writing. Live background updates is one thing I love about the different forum software, IPB. VBulletin and others don't have that and you run into these back-post situations all the time.

Hot Toys made that Star Wars anouncement before there was any hope of there ever being an episode VII. I wouldn't be surprised if they purposely hold back on releasing Star Wars until the new movie arrives, so they can tag along with the hype that will surely be there.

If they are doing that, (which I strongly doubt), then they have even less business savvy than I previously thought.

Hopefully they will lose their hard-on for Iron Man and we will see other lines given attention soon

I always find the doom and gloom.posts hilarious.

A. Howard Chan is a HUGE fan of Star Wars. Its like his dream license to work on. He's not going throw the towel in after one figure.

B. SS and HT relationship is still going strong...which leads to...

C. SS relationship with Disney has never been stronger so those that think because it has something to do with Disney getting SW it quite the opposite. SS has even stated that since the merge they have never been more excited to work on even MORE Star Wars material.

D. If anthing is the reason for be hold up its probably Howard Chan wanting these releases to be as perfect as possible due to his love for the franchise. Or it more diabolical and HT has to wait till after SS releases their Vader/Hoth Han before we see HTs DX versions. Who knows. But it certainly isn't because HT gave up on this license.
