I'm really annoyed about the weird foot pegs on the body which mean you can't use the boots with any other body! Is there any way round this, or any other HT body that employs the same pegs? Also, does anyone know if you can remove the plastic bit inside the boots which the peg fits into?

Careful taking this fig's jackets on and off too much - the fastener clips are really delicate and can get broken.
That's one of my number one complaints with Hot Toys to be honest. I wish they'd quit using the cheap plastic snaps and would use something more heavy duty metal ones or something.

The fragility of the snaps is an issue but when the alternative is bulky metal snaps, I'll just take caution when using my small plastic snaps. I'm glad we've moved past Hasbro and their metal snaps.

Man I should have gotten this when it was available now I'm kicking myself for letting it get away. If anyone is thinking of getting rid of one please let me know.

If their new figures do well, I can see Hot Toys doing a re-release version, non-DX, similar to what they've done with the Armory's Batman.

Damn i regret selling this one. I figured HT was done with making SW figures so i sold him since there was nothing of equal quality to put him against, then bam they went full force with the license. Oh well hope they do Jedi Luke one day.

That's a GREAT photo and pose Jedibear, and the first one that's made me feel like I want the BD head. Thanks.

It's funny - I only have the BD head because it's the only one I felt really looked like Hamill did in the movie. The "clean" head is really nice but just doesn't nail the Hamill likeness to my eye the way the BD one does.

It is a most excellent figure and poses better than nearly every other figure I own - and the PERS I actually use a bit.

I have them and display both. I don't think either version nails Hamill to be honest. The hair piece on the sculpt makes the bigger difference to each head's appearance - if you (someone with both hair pieces) swap them around a bit you'll see what I mean.

It looks much better to me in-hand than in most of the photos; I think the BD head with non-BD hair looks most like Hamill. That said it's an idealized sculpt. Amazing figure overall but the jaw is too square and the chin too strong, the nose too sharp. Superhero Luke instead of '80s Nerd Luke.

I remember those! Those pictures were part of what finally sold me on this figure as I recall....like so many figures, it's the "in-hand" shots that end up doing most of the "convincing" (either way)

Thanks Captain! Yes, out of the two...I really like this one best.

Now that HT is moving forward again, it would be cool to see their take on Jedi Luke (although I'll always appreciate the Sideshow one..."deer-in-the-headlights" eyes notwithstanding...lol). Heck, I'm STILL hoping that HT does an Anakin figure. Would love to see their craftsmanship on that distinctive Jedi attire and their portrait work on him. But considering the wood they're packing these days for all things OT, I guess that's not gonna happen. Oh well....

One of the best things about the ordinary head is that it's in a caucasian skin tone - which is a bit damning really, all caucasian characters should be like that.

I hear ya so dittos here. I have mine same way (BD head with clean hair piece), best look IMO. BUT I'm thinking of getting another head piece to do a Dagobah Luke now that R2 is in the house. Yes, I'm an ESB snob. OR maybe wait to see what the next HT Luke sculpt looks like for additional options. Posting an old pic.. not a great one, but I'm really happy with this set. Can't really ask for more with all the goodies and set pieces...

Love your pics, Bo. I remember those too. :clap

Is HT's battle damage head still the best looking option or have there been custom alternatives available for that body?
