Hot Toys DX Bespin Luke Skywalker

I think its a totally fantastic figure. When it came out the price was great, two full figures with props. The head sculpt is bang on and has tons of painted detail. Its even better in hand. I think this was an era when Hot Toys was really knocking it out the park. We had the 89 batman and joker figures, this one and a few others which just raised the bar to the next level. Unfortunately since then, HT has missed the mark quite a few times which has me worried for the entire star wars line. However the Leia figure looks fantastic...in the prototype at least lol

I believe the headsculpts have received mixed reviews, but I still wish I had this set.

HT Luke Bespin BD headsculpt is still the best Luke ever - love it. The non-BD to my eye's a bit of a step down and I replaced it with the SSC non-hatted Luke Hoth headsculpt on my "normal" Luke Bespin. Paint's not as good on the SSC but likeness is better.

Overall, it's a very nice set though. Really wish I could display the weather vane because it's so cool. HT Bespin costume was a huge step up on the SSC one.

Lighting can really make or break a figure - doubly true for this head sculpt, IMO. And not because two of them come in the package.

That weather vane is a display piece for the ages. And the outfit is amazing.

I just cant see myself getting another Luke after this. The DX package just nailed it. Its as if Hot Toys spent 2+ years in production and manufacture on this figure, the quality just oozes through and through, I know the outfit is not so iconic and the ANH Skywalker looks cool but it just doesn't compare to this guy. However, I might be swayed by another Luke in an X-WING flight suit or ESB Green Saber/black outfit, that would be an instant purchase ha!

This is and will most likely stay one of my favorite figures.


I got the exact pose I wanted for Luke but my Vader doesn't pose really well. Skinny arms and limp lightsaber holding hands don't help with posing Vader.
