I thought Raiders looked great in HD. It's a shame that I can only imagine how good it would be on Blu-Ray
All released this year on blu ray arnt they?

I sure as hell hope so GL has dragged his feet for far too long already.
I may be getting confused with SW
From what I've read, George got inspired after watching Avatar and the Indy moves are being remastered in 3D to be rereleased at the cinemas.

I'm not saying I want GL to alter the Indy movies in any way, I don't think 3D counts as changing the film. I see it as experiencing the original films we love so much in a way we never have before...what's wrong with that?
Stop bumping this thread unless you're posting pics of the DX Indy

Dude, I hope they knocked this one out of the park - once revisions are shown
I really want a badass looking Hot Toys Indy....hell, they could actually sculpt a decent Dr. René Belloq, unlike Sideshow

We're being sold a dodgy product so George Lucas can line his pockets by rehashing a masterpiece that should be left alone.
Because it's crap 3D that's why. Instead of shooting scenes with a 3D camera, it'll all be done post-production. The difference in the film experience is the former (a la Avatar) provides a genuine feeling of depth throughout every scene element while the latter (a la Alice in Wonderland) looks like a pop-up book.

I don't care if if the movies don't take full advantage of 3D and match up to today's "shot for 3D" films. It will still be a new way of watching the Indy movies which, after watching them on vhs and DVD more times than I care to count, is very welcome. Bring on the "pop-up book" Indy trilogy I say, if I don't like it I'll continue watching them in the old format. As long as he's not changing the content of them film I'm fine.
