There's gonna be about 50 different, high quality Bruce Lee figures floating around there in the near future (including Enterbay's existing ones and the forthcoming figures from both EB and HT).

Sure, but the bar has been raised to the Hot Toys standard. There may be other "high quality" Bruce figs out there, but is their quality as high as this fig's? There can only be one innovator--all the rest are imitators.

Bruce Lee is such a huge star in Asia (so much more than Shellhead or Ledger's joker), that I expect demand for this fig to remain high, regardless of how many inferior imitators flood the market. In fact, I expect the high demand from Asia will make this fig even more rare in North America and Europe.

Of course I could be wrong, but I'm thinking Godfather or Mark 1 demand. So if you're even slightly interested in this fig, buy it now because it will only cost more later.

So before this came out, what was generally considered to be the best Bruce Lee figure out there? Is it the Fist of Fury one by Enterbay? I'd like to start building up a collection of these things and it looks to me like the best way to go would be Fist of Fury, DX04, Hot Toys Suit or Casual, and then the new Game of Death coming out.

Why would anyone go for IM mark 1 when they can get better looking IM mark 6 or 4? Especially in and out of itself mark 1 suit was a very minor part of the movie and easily forgettable.

From what I can see the figure and both head sculpts look great.
Well done Hot Toys for fixing the BD sculpt. Those small changes made a world of difference

Expensive i would imagine, your best of getting a casual/suited Bruce as you will get the body you need and a new sculpt.

I think people selling those smiling sculpts will bring the price of the body down

Yeah it looks much better when comparing the two, always thought HT would come good with this, that's why I've Po there Indy as well, I faith it'll come out great

There is nothing else like the Mark I out there. There are several great looking Enterbay Lee figures, and more EB and HT versions to come. Lee gets a slightly different facial expression, hairdo, and outfit/accessories. The Iron Men are fundamentally different from one another. Not really a comparison I would make.

As for DX, the Jackson DX figure hasn't gone up much so far. The only ones to go up so far are Dark Knight, and they are the best representations of those characters right out of the box. BR Joker and V1 Dark Knight Bats are also quite pricey and rising all the time, because there's nothing else out there to compare with those 4 figures.

Maybe. I've not had any EB figures in-hand, but folks have ranted and raved about them so I've assumed they are nice figures. Quality of head sculpts are certainly high.

But even then, we've got at least 2 more HT Lees coming, and I assume many more. There are two Vito Corleone's, and EBs sculpt is not very good. There is only one decent 1/6 scale Mark I, so that's why I don't think the comparison holds.

I'm just speculating of course, but can easily imagine this being an issue of high supply of fancy Lee figures leading to prices that don't go up so high.

Yay!!! Looks like we are on track for next month! I'm excited! This one will be my first HT DX. Hm, now that I think about it, it will also be my first SSC EX as well!

You are pretty much right on track, Entebay's Bruce headsculpt were the best in Fist of Fury AND Kato, also the 3.5 body which is compatible for both also makes the figures great. Earlier Bruces would NEVER be able to stand stable in dynamic poses without a stand. So Get both! Ive got the FoF (didnt take Kato cause I didnt/dont want a Bruce Lee in a sidekick role) Get all the HT releases, and wait and see how the Enterbay Release turns out...

Enterbay's FOF was the first and last Enterbay product I will ever buy. It had wet paint, stains on the body, the foot broke by looking at it, and pieces of the diorama started to fall off. Luckily, I bought it on Amazon and was able to get a full refund.
