Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I can't wait for this to ship.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Hmm, hope to see some better pics. That lighting they're using in those pics with a black backdrop makes the hair lose its dark contrast (among other things)... it's distracting. I want more "real" in-hand home lighting pics.

You obviously don't have the Mark I. No need to hate on it though.

When I think of IM I thing the red suit in my mind and not mark 1.
Mark 1 was made with one purpose only, to milk completists.

Anyways, I am not a fan of all IM line at all.

P.S. Any news when is this supposed to be released? The wait kills me.

When I first saw the Mk I I thought the same thing. But a look through the hi-res pics in the Mk I thread and I was blown away - sadly for me this realisation came too late, prices had gone through the roof by this time. I'd pay $400 for Mk I, but not the 7, 8, 900 bucks they are easily fetching now. Good for your wallet you have zero interest in Mk I Marcus, for your wallet's sake I hope you don't change your mind ;)

As for this Bruce, I am psyched. I look at these first pics and, knowing something about images, I can see through the poor lighting, poor focus etc and see that this figure is almost certainly going to be the fruit of fruits.

As I said a few pages back, all those with doubts about the quality of the sculpts after looking at these relatively poor pics should reserve their judgment til the next round of pics - I think they'll be very pleasantly surprised :)

Looks like a major improvement, but somehow it looks a bit plastic-y to me, maybe is the lightning or something. Can't wait to have it!

I see what you're saying, but the original Mark 1 is how Iron Man debuted in the movie and in the comics. It was even touched back upon in the modern Invincible Iron Man comics when Mark 1 went up against the Iron Patriot. It's a very iconic design and it also has a certain campy steampunk like feel. It's really quite awesome if you ask me. The flamethrower is especially cool. It's also really unique compared to other Iron Man designs, even the more modern ones.

It's a rare thing seeing someone defend the mark 1,as it's not often you find someone bashing it:slap

...Back to this figure, have there been any pics yet where he actually has the clothes on??

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Lol the Mark I is probably one of the best Iron Man figures out there. I don't have it, but to not recognize its significance is asinine. Anyways. Bruce looks greeeeatttt. Possible purchase....we shall see.

Yeah, but that Terminator: Salvation was an epic, classy masterpiece.:cuckoo:

The knees look great! Can anyone confirm if they are a new design?

How does that even matter?:cuckoo:

Something shouldn't be a masterpiece to be a fan of.

And I never said IM is a bad movie, I actually thing its a great movie. All I said is that i am not a fan of it.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

In fairness to Marcus Wright some people will buy just for dedication to a series or character ..not many people liked tsalvation, but i'd say it's safe to assume that most terminator fans have a figure from that line in there collection ..it's more about the characters at the end of the day , john conner is a pretty cool character sure the moive was not great but it still gave the terminator fans a John conner.
I love Ironman, but i did not like the ironman 2 movie ..but i still got the figures because i like the characters.

That said, i'm still not impressed about what you said about the mark 1:mad:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Remember how the mkiv Tony sculpt was dogged on until we had inhand pics. That changed a lot of minds including me. Hope this is the same, but so far I do like what I see.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

How did I suddenly ended up in the iron man thread ?...*scratches head*

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

It seems that the whole body is sculpted to ressemble Bruce. Look at the calf muscles, they are not the generic TT design.

I can't wait to see better pics of this. I also cannot wait to have it in hand, even though I have mixed feelings of the sculpts. Hopefully as you all say, it's due to the pics.
