The knees look great! Can anyone confirm if they are a new design?

Of course the knees are new design dude!,:slap... in fact, the whole body is a new sculpted design: Torso, biceps, forearms, Thights, calves, hands ...and even the feet are new, and never seen before :wink1:

Ok not all is new..the ball joints from the Crotch look from the standar TT :lol

Anyways ..an "extra" pic from behind:

Those joints are hideous! The chest and shoulder connection looks awful on every pic! The elbow joints look bad as well....actually the wrists are bad as well....just all it actually...

Glad I cancelled this one and got the Enterbay EtD and WotD statues instead. Was wondering if I'd regret that, everyone else seemed so excited about this. But I think the statues are a way better way to show a shirtless Bruce.

Well i guess these high end "action figures" are not for you:dunno Imagine i blasting some random statue because it can't pose:lol ..that's exactly what your doing here, It's an action figure what do you expect!??

Yeah you may have a fair point, though I think the shoulder connections are awful compared to other 1/6 figures. There is huge separation and a clear gap that just ruins it in almost every pic.

Enterbay hid the joints on the wrist by making it attach mid forearm with an almost hidden connection. That worked well. There ARE things that can be done and I think its important to make an effort on figures that'll be displayed shirtless. For whatever reason, Hot Toys haven't made any effort at all in that regard.

I find it weird people blow up a 1/6 face to a 1:1 scale to examine it and then complain that it isn't 100% perfect in 1:1 scale, but are happy to ignore awful looking joints. To each their own I guess. Its not that I hate 1/6 poseable figures....I'm definitely loving HT's new 1/6 'casual 70s clothes' Bruce Lee.

Glad you can see my point, i was afraid you would be one of those stubborn types:lol

People overlook the joint's because at the end of the day they know there buying an action figure,it's that simple:dunno ..the only way we can hide joints on a fig when we are without the option of clothing is the rubber body..but with the price of these figures these day's that's no longer acceptable as there will always be the fear of deterioration.

Visible Joint's will always be part of this hobby and i don't see that changing anytime soon, and in fairness not all there figures are topless:lol

Because - if I'm right - the exclusive version can't be found anyplace and for some collectors it's not enough to have an extra body picked up from a parted out set, they want to have the exclusive packaging as well. So collectors who want the exclusive now have to pay top dollar.

..though the postage is starting to scare me - SSC shipping to Oz, hoo boy...

I'm pretty sure it will be in the range of 50-75 bucks. Box & the extra body box looks bulky.

But, sometimes you can get surprised... Could be under 30 if it comes in a pre-packaged HT shipper.

Those people are greedy as hell. I have no doubt this figure will cost that much one day but no time soon.

I don't think greed has a lot to do with it - if there are people out there willing to pay this much for it, then why wouldn't they try their luck?

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Damn, the figure is not out world wide yet and it's already $500+, some sellers are nuts (and those who buy from them), it is a shame that these guys are the ones that sets the value of the figure once they are out of stock, even if the figure is not worth that much. I will have one so can't complain if they are worth $500+ in the future, but it'll suck for those coming in late.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Of course both the seller and buyer play a part in setting the so-called value of a figure - but if buyers didn't pay it, the seller would have to lower the price. But yep, I got mine, and got it early. It's the way of the collecting world, stuff starts going up almost immediately nowadays. Well the good stuff anyhow :)
