You should also blame the people buying those at that price. When the guardian Pred was released, I saw on ebay bids of up to $700 for it. Now it sells for half of that because only desperate people wanted to have it right away.

Same here, that same guy had a listing earlier yesturday and it was around $400 shipped. Someone bought it right away. So he saw it being bought at that price, he will give it a try at a higher price.

If you had a sold out figure that people seem despereate enough to buy at those prices i can understand that,but now allready?
Notice his shipping,80$ for economy overseas!!!

Like i allready said,that dude is crazy and i would never buy from him again after what happened to me.I was a newbie to ebay and paypal and thought Paypal was the only way to complain,this seller took full advantage of my little knowledge at the time.

Me too. It's really like a domino effect..that's why this hobby becomes impractical nowadays cause of these damn hoarders!

I really think guys you are to harsh on re-sellers.
Its their business just like hot-toys.

Think this for a second. If it was not for them, all figures would still go out of stock, but this time due to people who really need them for their personal displaying needs buying them.

Ang guess what, very few of them would be ready to part with them, and one would have to pay even a higher price to get staff thehy missed on.

I think you are referring to my post that I deleted. Sorry, I thought you were talking about a pre-order for this figure at first, not the old Rocky figures.

I also got burned by someone (outside eBay) by waiting over 45 days to pay for 2 HT Jokers. They took my money and ran. I lost out and got pissed, and learned an important lesson.

I understand your point that this is their business, I wouldn't mind if they're adding like $20-40 cause that's where they're getting their sales but doubling or even tripling the price is just taking advantage for me. Now we see some DX04 in evilbay @ $500 already and it's not even out in the int'l market HT are fast becoming sold-out cause these hoarders are buying a wholesale for each product like what happened to the Guardian Pred at the last toy event in HK. Instead of 1 customer:1 figure, what happened is that some bought like 7 figures just for themselves that's why other people didn't get the chance to own one..that ain't right! But what can I do..this is life.

Are we even looking at the same figure guys? To me, it looks like HT never did any changes to the sculpt at all. It looks exactly like the same sculpt on the proto pics.

To be honest, I am disappointed. After months of assuring us that the headsculpts are not final, they gave us the same old headsculpt.

If they did fix it, they didn't fix it enough. Still looks nothing like Bruce and with Arnie's new smiling sculpts thats become even more apparent.

All your points are valid, but it is also the buyers' fault. The new Hot Toys Bruce Lee, the smiling one, has been selling for around $160 - $170 shipped. I personally feel that at that price, it is too expensive and really dont why people are paying that much for it.

Maybe they are not as informed as we are, maybe they cannot find it cheaper any where else, etc. The point is, are you going to blame the seller or the buyer for making the price go up that high?

If he sells that DX-04 for $500, then I wouldn't blame him. I put up a Hot Toys Scar Pred for sale on 2007 and was expectin to get at least what I paid for it, $180. To my surprise, it sold for $400!!! So you see, no matter if it's a sold out, limited edition, or what not item, the buyer will always be at fault for it to go in price as well.

Remember that this DX exclusive is very rare.

Exellent. Your pictures have reinforced my desire to have this figure. One thing though, I wish the moving eyes were like Enyerbay's. I noticed the eyes on the regular sculpt are just slightly missaligned.
