Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Thst body is pure and utter crap I can't remember the last time I was so turned off a hot toys product

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I have all the Enterbay Bruce Lees except for the ETD versions, so I'm happy to be able to get it through Hot Toys now at a cheaper price! Now my collection can be somewhat complete! :) I might have to pick up a couple of these too!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

People state the body is pure crap. I agree with comments regarding the body definition being a bit extreme beyond that what is wrong with the body? I like the looks of the shoulder's and upper arms. Perhaps something is so obvious I am missing it?:huh

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I don't have a problem with is figure. I missed the Enterbay ones so this'll fit the spot perfectly. Hopefully they can tune the sculpt a little better and tone doen the muscle definition a little bit so it looks more realistic.

Extreme defintion makes the body crap? oh..........really? I thought limited articulation, tearing etc. makes a bad body type.

I didn't know it was all about appearance. I wouldn't display my standard TT without shirts because the look like shizit but functionally they work well.

Well that's the point most people have issue with. This figure is displayed without a shirt for 50% of the display possibilities.

Seeing as it has that crazy exaggerated definition over his entire top half makes for a poor looking body. Don't think anyone is taking issue with the articulation, etc.

So, by your reasoning, if HT released an Incredible Hulk with amazing articulation and 100% durability, but it was neon blue, it could not be described as a crap body?

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

That body sculpt is awful. We have had Leo/300 and Hellboy/Wolvie to name but a few. That looks like a hasbro figure. The muscle detail is completely unrealistic. Over sculpted. Makes it look like HARD plastic. Accessories look good as do PERS. But I predict the worst selling DX so far. :(

For me at least my obsession with Hot Toys has a lot to do with having an incredible 1/16 version sitting in front of me that looks like a photo representation of a movie icon. This looks like a toy with it's shirt off. Who wants that? Just my humble opinion.

Hey Snake eater, love your avatar and sig!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Just locked mine in at BBTS and you guys can wine about the body until the cows come home your just mad it was none of the figures you wanted Im happy Hottoys brought there Bruce Lee game on... I do hope the DX05 is Superman or BD T-800 though... Enjoy the wait everyone... :) :) :)

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Oh man I cannot wait for this!!! Ip Man from Enterbay and now Bruce Lee from Hot toys in the same month!!!

I do agree with the body definition, I do hope they take it easy with that but I got my 1/4 Bruce Lee for my BD needs.

As for the head sculpts man, a thing of beauty.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Eh, I love Bruce Lee and all but I was hoping for something else. Enterbay has put out enough 1/6th Bruces and not like we needed another one. Whatever wait till DX05 for more disappointment.

Cheers man. :D

I completely echo your sentiments too. The body looks esp bad, (sculpt and colour diff to arms!), in this pic from TR blog:

A blue Hulk isn't a realistic comparison since the BL figure has options to cover the extreme body if it is that repulsive. Kinda hard covering a blue Hulk. :wink1:

I see what your saying. I guess I wouldn't call the body crap whereas someone else would. The recent blog pic with different color arms / torso would be concerning but I imagine that will be resolved.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Wow your all a bunch of sad losers its not Superman so you have to find something bad about it A??? Even though Id buy a Superman I hope theres something seriously wrong with him when he comes out to turn the tables this is MJ all over again... :( :( :( But Im buying him so :p...

I was not using it as a comparison though, but as an example of your reasoning. Basically, a lot of people, (myself included), are taking issue with the over the top definition on the body, therefore making it 'crap'.

But yeah, apples and oranges. :peace

Sure this will still be an OK figure come release time, just an easy pass for me.
