Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

It's only the centre mirror that has the peel-off coating right, the side/flanking mirrors don't? They're fingerprint magnets!

The box will eventually tear with repeated openings for those whose hasn't already. Unfortunately it's just part of the design and pretty unavoidable with the way it was constructed. I wouldn't worry about it.

I opened the package last night and as always the reveal of a new figure is tempered with a bit of scouring for blemishes and faults - I focused on the stain and small tears for a half hour before moving on to the overall quality of just about every part of this figure. I can't believe how much kit there is for the money I paid, the accessories seem to go on forever. Adding to the possibilities presented by this figure doesn't seem necessary, but I've got a spare pair of pants/shoes/socks arriving anyway; and I might pick up one of EB's GoD tracksuits in a couple of months... I have a feeling there'll be a few of these parted out somehow :)

Yeah. I had to laugh at myself. Ordered an extra GoD suit for the spare body and when all is said and done, despite all the stuff in the box, all the hands, costumes, weapons, dio, I have both Lees on HT stands, unarmed with the non BD in the GoD get-up and BD Bruce wearing what he arrived in. :lol

EB GoD suit or custom one?

Are Enterbay GoD suits available yet? I saw a set on eBay that was reasonably priced, but the jumpsuit itself is custom-made. It does look decent though.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

It's not the EB GoD suit. His is the same one as mine. The EB suit stains the body, so good look with that if that's the one you wanna get.

EB GoD suit or custom one?

From what I've read, the EB one bleeds so I passed that up for a generic one Store-Rooms had with socks and sneakers for $20. Need to hit up the hardware store and find a green washer to replicate the jade bracelet and then I'm gold. I was kinda hoping to pick up the EB GoD but god that thing looks like ass (went from a $300 work of art to a $50 rubber-armed Dragon figure). Hindsight, I'm glad I picked up the GoD suit beforehand.

EB GoD suit stains as well? OK, custom it is for me :)

...also it doesn't look like the new GoD suit and shoes have made any leaps and bounds advances over the previous ones. Can't see any reason to wait around for a parted out new one, especially given the risk that these will also stain.

:lecture:lecture:lecture Based on the pics (which admittedly aren't that good), it looks worse.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Got mine today, and it's plain and simple awesome. Couple of issues though:

1) BD torso has a small black stain that appears to be from the belt. It really is small, very small. But it's a stain nevertheless.

2) Here I was saying I didn't care too much if the box was dinged in transit. I didn't request a pack-out, which would've cost an extra 50 bucks. The package arrived without a single dint in it anyway. But there is a tear running up the outside cover seam, and a small one on the other seam. If it weren't for these, the box would be absolutely mint, so where I was initially not bothered by a few dings, now I'm a bit bummed about the tears. This is my first DX and I was really unprepared for how awesome the packaging really is.

How many of you would give a toss about a small black stain and a couple of tears in a box where the rest of the package is absolutely perfect?

Update: I've just given myself a refresher on the last dozen or so pages, and am reminded of examples of scratched mirrors, seams not perfect, crushed Ex box... I've decided I don't give a toss about about the stain or tears. Until one of you buggers tries to tell me otherwise :lol

My box came damaged too. There's a couple of guys on Youtube report to Sideshow and said SS will send them a new box. Just report my, let's see.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Hey guys just uploaded my Bruce Lee DX at photobucket to show you what I meant by poor seals on my BD body. I hope this works, this is the first time I have posted images.

Can you guys let me know if this is normal for this figure? As you can see the ends don't line up under the arm. Its not noticeable if I have him posed with his arms down but when you do action poses with his arms raised it is obvious.

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks guys.

Thank you DeadLeaves and Terminator Fan Game for the quick tutorial in using photobucket.
Much appreciated.

Looks like both my Lee figures, my T-800 and both my Barney bodies. I'd say it's normal. If it bothers you that much, you can run a razor blade down the seam and reglue it straight with crazy glue. Did that to fix a Barney arm that was loose and you can't even tell it was opened.

Looks normal to me.
My terminator bodies are the same too.
It doesnt bother me at all, but if it did, I could always do what NAM said and just trim it with a razor.
