Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

at this point its cheaper to wait and buy one of the upcoming casual Bruce Lee's from Hot Toys.

That whole figure (which comes with the non-damaged body) is cheaper than what the DX exclusive body is selling for. People are idiots :slap

Totally... my only concern is color? my BD body is a little darker skinned than my non BD... and my T-800 T2 body is darker than my T1 T-800 body...

This is what i'm doing too. I wonder what they'll go for on Ebay. I would only assume they'll release a Lee TT eventually. 2 years from now there should be a bunch of HT Lee's.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I paid 100$ plus shipping for an extra Clean body on ebay.

People pay what they feel is necessary, and to be honest...The 2 upcoming Bruce Lee's body will sell for around 80$-100$ anyway.

Hmm so that's the running price of that clean body @ eBay. Wow! :horror

Nonetheless great catch as I'm sure the price will still increase as time goes by!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

congrats to all who were converted it is so worth the money to pay the extra 20 dollars to get the extra body, cause now you get two figures. and for someone like me who never got a bruce lee from enterbay this is a dream come true and now i have my bruce in my collection and i'm very happy about this.

I hate it when people say others are idiots for doing this. I think it's because they don't have as much money, are cheap bastards or don't see the value in it. I find it's quite the opposite. Only idiots tell people what to spend their own, hard earned money on. :lecture:lecture:lecture

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I almost cancelled my preorder of this figure because I wasn't fond of the headsculpt. Now that I have it I can't put it down. I wasn't pleased with Hot Toys Indiana Jones either now I think I will have to get it despite my reservations. Headsculpts lacking, there is a lot to be said for great workmanship, quality and more accessories than you know what to do with. Here are some shots....I hope you like them.

Is that in reference to my comment?
I'll say again, people are idiots if they are spending more for a spare body than the entire cost of one of the upcoming casual Bruce's.

It was a generalized statement, but what right do you have to tell people they are idiots for how they choose to spend their own money? :huh

The inverse argument could be made that you're just bitter because you're poor. :lol

LOL why the assumption I'm poor? I'm not. Nor have I've ever posted anything about budgeting, not being able to afford a figure, being worried about too many good releases coming out at the same time, or anything else that is indicative of financial status.

And its not the inverse argument at all.

People can spend their money however they want. But the idea that all choices are equal and can't be looked at objectively, or that any criticism automatically equals bitter or poor is just silly.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

*Begin OT musing

I still marvel at my transition just over 12 months ago from "no way could I ever afford these figures on my salary" to "Bruce Lee DX - awesome, preordered!"

My savings haven't taken a hit. My salary is only marginally higher. I still get to pay my bills, pay the school fees, accommodate some luxuries for both of us here and there, spoil the kids. I buy around one figure per month, which comes to around $2500-3000 a year. Where on earth has this money come from?

*end OT musing

Didn't call you poor, I just don't think you have the right to call someone an idiot because they paid top dollar for a loose body. You don't know wether the bodies coming out will be identical in color or not, nor do you know if they'll be exactly the same (might have STT legs). Bottom line, your "idiot" label is grossly assuming as would someone calling you a poor, cheap bastard for your own remark. See what I mean?

When you want something bad enough, you make it work. :lol

Well you're right there, I am assuming that the casual Bruce's HT's body will in all probability be identical. I'm guessing it will be.

Smart people can make idiotic decisions.
I know I was an idiot for cancelling the 2 EX orders when I decided I liked the statues better.....didn't occur to me I could have just flipped them instantly and made a killing :slap

...at least you can feel good knowing that two folks who really wanted the ex but didn't get their PO in early enough were able to pick these up MSRP. Maybe this doesn't feel quite as good as a spare 3 or 400 bucks in your pocket would feel, but you know...
