Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Why are hot toys making Bruce Lee figures? Enterbays look so much better I don't mean to bash this figure but the ripple lines in the body look way too pronounced which doesnt look right, the head sculpt is good but seriously EB do Bruce so much better. Hot Toys should do something original like do a figure of Brandon Lee from one of his films, now thats a figure I wouldn't hesitate to get.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Enterbay was way overrated IMO anyway. The only reason they got so much pub was based on the exclusivity they had making Bruce Lee figs. Facts are, they sucked major balls. The tailoring was crap (not up to par of what HT will do), the sculpting was way too overrated and the figures looked dopey and cheap for the pric epoint. Heck, the sneakers on that yellow suit Lee by EB was hideous and he looked like a clown.

I'm sure HT will elevate and set the bar high on the Lee 1/6th scale market.

Plus, for the price, well worth it. EB can die a slow death...

HT OWNS!

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, have you ever seen the EB Bruce Lee's in hand?

Owned one, and did not like it. So, I flipped it on EBAY because the money was just right, and if someone was willing to pay an ungodly amount for somethingI truly was lukewarm about, then so be it.

:lol:lol:lol

Someone who has owned a EB Bruce Lee might point out a few flaws, but calling them Crap and cheap is just exaggerating.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

The Enterbay eye system works great. It's very easy to line up the eyes.

Also, the Enterbay clothing and everything is top notch. You are just bashing Enterbay for whatever reson.

Anyways, I trust Hot Toys will fix the figure. We will have a real competition as the Enterbay just showed a pic of the next Bruce.

Pfft. You just said, one page back:
Exactly, wait (key word) and bite (meaning in the 2ndary market, which is insane when buying EB figs)...

Which was my point, as stated a few posts back.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

The only problem I find with Enterbays eye ball system is that you need to dremmel out some of the internal head to enable to eye ball pegs to point down, to enable the eye balls to look up.

I have to admit, that body looks stellar just based on that shot...

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

cant judge the amazingness by a single pic... need more.. >_<

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

The texture of the skin, muscle tone and overall fleshy look though, on that single image is very impressive.

I hope Hot Toys is watching and say, "That's it. Screw it, Arnie, we will give you $10mil to make us the best Bruce Lee sculpt and body in 1 month".

"But first finish DX-05 Superman!"
That Bruce Lee looks much better!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

So where exactly is that body from?

Thats a custom or something? Who made that?

EDIT: Oh ok, nevermind I see!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I'm pretty skeptical of new bodies from EB now due to the problems with the RM3, but especially with a rubber body and all the inherent problems that already come with it. Non-removable hands too? It could be promising, but I just don't know right now...

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

It's not a rubber muscle body. Pretty sure it's just a dummy body at the moment waiting for the joints to be fit in. For one, look at the wrists. No wrist joint. Even muscle bodies, all of them have exposed wrist joints.

Not necesserily, hands can be rubber too, don't need to add like a billion different hand styles so they just make the hands rubber. My "Shining" Jack Nicholson figure have Rubber hands too.

I suppose that is a possibility, but a highly unlikely one. Hot Toys have been doing muscle bodies for a while now and even they haven't attempted a seamless body from neck to fingertip. I don't know if Enterbay has the expertise to attempt anything like this, considering they haven't officially done a rubber muscle body (or articulated fingers for that matter). It'd certainly be bold of them to do something this adventurous, but it just seems improbable to me. I mean, it'd be a big risk for them right now, what with their current troubles.

A full-body rubber muscle suit would be amazing though. Highly impractical and prone to damage, but amazing.
