Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

There is a pic of a the proto Enterbay did of their Jackie. It looked pretty good. Google it and you might find it.

Ive also seen a 1/6 figure from him, but does not look very good. I can't remember what company did it.

But, I hop thatwe hear something from Hot Toys regarding Bruce soon. Tomorrow is next month, last month of Q1.

Tomorrow is indeed last month of Q1 so HT have a whole month to release this before it becomes late.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Well, I wouldn't fack them, they have good stuff, but they have SERIOUS QC problems, that's my only beef with them. I love their headsculpts, Y.J has done an awesome job as well as Arnie when he was with them, but I'm still hesitant to pick up their Ip Man figure or any new figures they'll release in the future, they are expensive figures with factory problems, it's not a good deal IMO.

i havent seen anyone get issues with the onimusha figures, but i agree that Hot Toys is definatly the better deal, but im goin with the Enterbay version simply cause its cooler IMO

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I have the enterbay "Enter the Dragon" Bruce Lee and while the face sculpt is good, it has difficulty standing. I know some collectors like to use the stand but I prefer my figures to be "free-standing".

While I think EnterBay's Bruce looks better, I will pick up the Hottoys version because I suspect the QC will be better and should be at least be able to stand on its own.

What do you mean Enterbay's looks better? Do you mean the ETD's or the new GoD?

We have not seen the final Hot Toys sculpts and until they are not shown, we cannot assume anything.

Do you have a 2.5 or 3.5 body? These were updated bodies with sturdier ankles - mine stands up fine on its own.

..having said that, you shouldn't have to fork out for another body just so your figure will stand up on its own. The engineering and QC issues makes it difficult for me to have any confidence in them. HT FTW ;)

Or how about a Hot Toys Tony Jaa Ong-Bak figure. Or better yet a Hot Toys figures of the Shaw Brothers kung fu flicks. 5 Deadly Venoms, Kid with the Golden Arms, Born Invincible.

:lecture

Add the 36th chamber of shaolin and Bruce Li-The Three Avengers too

Yes, good idea. Make a new thread with a poll and petition. The veterans in particular will love it :lol

I was comparing the Enterbay's "Enter the Dragon" version with the upcoming Hottoys' release. I personally find the face sculpt for Enterbay is better.

Yeah, I totally agreed with you. At the price I paid, I don't think I should spend more money on another body so I simply kept Bruce back in the box. And to make matters worse, his white shirt was yellowing! Any solutions for that?

After my experience with Enterbay's Bruce Lee, I never bought any of their products again. I was tempted to buy Ip/Yip Man but decided against it,

Sell your EB ETD while it's still fetching decent money and use the cash to fund your new HT line ;)

If you want to hold onto it though, I'm not sure if anything outside of bleaching it will to the trick. There are some folks who write about restoring UV-faded plastic back to white, though not sure if it'd work on fabric, or whether you'd even want to as it's essentially a UV-activated bleaching process anyway.

man he's so close to getting released can't wait.

I understand that and I agree that what we have seen so far from the two, Enterbay's looks better, but you have to wait for them to show the actual final product. Hot Toys improves many of their sculpts before release and their DX line, though relatively new, has been outstanding so far. (Please, no Indiana Jones comments as it has not been released yet) :)

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Im ready for BRUCE!!!!! I hope the sculpts are fantastic. Will there be two defferent boxes for people who have bought exclusive items before?

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I assume the box will be standard, SS ex's usually just have a sticker slapped on there somewhere.

A spare body is a pretty big item to stuff into the box underneath the trays... Might just come separate, packed like a TT. Just gonna have to wait and see.

Yeah, I keep an open mind on the toys until I have seen the actual product in person or read reviews about it. I'm not a "blind" follower of a company.

I'm actually fussy about toys (such as details). As long as the toy looks decent and is durable, I'm satisfied!

With regards, to the hottoy's version I find the "calm" face good but not the "battle damaged" face.

As long as Hottoy's Bruce Lee can "stand" without any problems, I will be satisfied. :)
