For me, there is more to this piece than just the sculpt that kicks ass and makes it worth it. Most of us already have the SSC sculpt custom painted, I just want everything else.

I've been wanting to make a Streets of Cairo Indy, so buying the whole shebang would give me enough options to do one of those, finish my Map Room version, and have plenty of fun new stuff like hands, shirts, belts, etc... I guess I'm just not accustomed to buying a HT figure that's not 1000% perfect out of the box, but that doesn't mean there's not lots of good stuff to be had here.

I still love my Boot repaint SS Indy, and that was always going to be tough for HT to top in my eyes.

Stinks that I have to pay a 10% cancellation fee to Alter Ego for cancelling this, considering it's due to quality issues/ not looking as good as the proto. Still cancelling though, because I wouldn't be happy with it. Oh well, guess it's back to BBTS and SS for all my preorders.

They nailed Superman and Batman recently, but dropped the ball on Indy

Everyone makes mistakes, but this is the only Indy fig made by them, and is more of an iconic character than many others that have got a better quality HS.

This being the first figure and a DX from this license means it should've had a better development than some others.

HT must've bit off more than they can chew and this is the sign, i think it'sgood, good accessories and a good HS (likeness is 70-80% to me), but not at the level that one has come to expect from Hot Toys.

Sovereign's still the best by far but he has too many outstanding orders to come back here and offer a series.

Kato's is great but a wee bit pricey. Also, needs to be treated after the fact to look right.

I hate to say it, it's the PERS that is really throwing off the eyes.

The head really connects strangely to the neck too. Never noticed one like this. Its just odd. Is that because of the PERS system inside the head -- so they have to have the neck connect at a lower point?

PERS sucks. HT should just abandon it completely. I haven't seen one figure where it improved it so much to warrant using it on all DXs.

Poor Indy. OMG's pics have made it look it's best for sure but he still doesn't have any wow factor for me like the Reeve, Keaton or Nicholson figures do.

I guess PERS is to blame for the eyeliner (gap between eyeball and face) as well as the big round eyes that indy does not have.

No macro lens, just normal 50mm here.
