Yeah I expect a 10% discount here and other forums over eBay, otherwise, why wouldn't I just buy on eBay and get the extra layer of protection? If something goes for $300 shipped on eBay new, it should be $270 shipped on here new and more like $240-250 used.

I like the figure and a OK having paid $300 since that's not a huge markup over the retail and it is sold out for a while now, so it costs what it costs, but as far as the figure goes, I think it should be more like $200 at retail and 230-250 now, considering Bespin Luke has two full figures and a diorama for $300.

I paid 280 shipped a year ago for mine. So 300 shipped isn't really that bad IMO. It's one of HT best figures to date.

I didn't say I'm entitled to a discount being a member and I wasn't just talking about this forum either.

If something sells for $300 on ebay, that means the seller is willing to accept $260ish cleared before shipping for it because the seller doesn't actually get $300. That's why ebay is evilbay, because it's % artifically inflates prices and makes the price the buyer is willing to pay higher than the price the seller is willing to accept.

I could equally say that why is the seller entitled to more money for selling on a forum if I wanted to flip that around on you. Now, the seller is willing to take the ding in fees bc you get broader audience and a faster sale on ebay and the buyer gets an added layer of protecion. So why, as a buyer, should I pay the same price here when I get less since I lose the added layer of buyer protection that ebay gets me?

I don't think I'm entitled to anything other than choosing how to spend my money and if something is available here and on ebay, same item for the same price, I'm buying on ebay for the extra protection almost every time. Now, I prefer to buy through forums and have had great experiences buying here and when it comes down to it I feel somewhere in between ebay prices and ebay clearance is the right buying choice, so I would have happily paid $280-285 here, give the buyer some extra money over ebay and buy from someone I can interact with in a manner other than as buyer/seller. And I like that on forums collectors help each other out. When I sell on forums I follow the same guidelines too. I mark things down 7-12% off ebay average price. It's a karmic world, afterall.

If I can't get it cheaper on the forum than I wont bother. But the whole reason I check out the commerce section is for the deals though, which I've had quite a few of.

It's meant to be like that. To give it an organic look. The cape also has "veins" running thru it. It's movie accurate.

It's actually supposed to be almost smooth, glossy at times, I will never understand why HT textured it so much.

Can't really see it on the suit here, but definately visable on the cowl and can see the veins in the cape. In the scene in the alley when Jokers goons realise its body armour it's very visable then.
