Hot Toys DX09 - BATMAN - Batman (Michael Keaton) - Specs & Pics

I decided to make him his Armory.
I started with 3D model

Quick Modeling of the Armory from 89 Movie. Sadly the grey box on left is my printer's maximum printable size. I need to chop it into pieces and put them back together.

Of course, it's gotta open

Parts hollowed and laid out for Print. It looks like I need to print 10 pieces (each print takes about 1/2 - 1 day)

This is after printed out and put together

It opens as designed

Surface needs some cleaning and sanding

This is after quick cleaning/Sanding + 1 pass Primer

Still need more sanding + Putty = infinite loop

Scale checking with the Armory owner

Looks about right

Always wanted to do this!

Oh my goodness, kyekye. That’s an incredible custom set piece! You could display your Batman in there without his faceplate to look like it’s just the suit, and have Bruce Wayne standing outside it! I love it!

Wonderful work and armory!!! Yeah the idea of display it inside is awesome but i advise you to buy an other dx09 head in order to remove the eyes �� too... because just without the mouth it gonna be weird...

After all these years I'm finally starting to see a LITTLE breakdown in the rubber of the suit. Did anyone find anything good to treat it with by any chance? Thanks friends.

Working on the Door armory part. There are a couple of gadget at the bottom of door that's not included in DX-09 set..

Found some reference images for the missing props.
Quickly printed them and painted for addition

Next update will be the last with set up complete in Detolf!

Thanks for nice comments! Sanding/Prime spraying is done and I'm painting it now.

That custom armory is coming along nicely and is a thing if beauty.
Here's the base that comes with Tbleague/Phicen Bloodshot figure. I knew as soon as I saw it I wanted to use it as a Gotham style base.

Thanks. That base is bigger and nicer than I thought! I thought it was small one.

For my Armory Vault, I roughly made Back-wall of the Vault out of form boards (It seemed a waste to make this part with 3D print.
Also painted the parts after sanding. (Matt Black -> Metalic Steel -> Clear Blue -> Semi Glossy top coating)

Put the Gadget board inside Vault Door

Test Assembly - checking from different angles

Display checking inside Detolf. It fits in nicely as planned

It's not done yet. I've decided to add Alfred
Now waiting for Alfred base body/glasses + some material for Rock wall..
