I am wondering when will Hot Toys start to use quality materials. I am collecting for years now but with a few exceptions way too many of their product deteriorate over the years.

Does that actually help?
Yup, at least it makes the pleather feel more flexible. Have only used it on two figures, MMS117 and DX13. One thing though, I accidently rubbed a bit too harsh at one place on the pants and some of the paint wore off so be careful. I believe the pleather is pretty good on the figures and soaking them in a conditioner might not be so neccessary.

Bought a used DX13. Thought the arm was a bit too loose, to my surprise I found the arm peg broken. My interest in buying used figures has now dropped, a lot. Anything I could do that does not require a body replacement?

Yes, if you can find that elbow joint on it's own you should be fine. Don't know how common they are, however.

Not sure it means anything but JC Hong has posted twice about the T1 T-800 from 5 years ago this week. I of course jabbed at him about the 1/4 teaser and that this year is the 35th anniversary.

We might see HT do a Arnold T-800 from Terminator 6, but I doubt we'll see any terminator figures beyond that, such a shame too as there's so much potential. I'd even love figures from Terminator 3. The final battle Arnold and TX would look awesome on display.

Damn, I'd forgotten about that for some reason. As it happens, when he looked like that it was some of the most embarrassing stuff in the franchise, but it would make a fantastic action figure from both NECA and Hot Toys. I would not be able to pass on it.

What was embarrassing about that scene? That might of been the best scene in the whole movie besides the crane chase.

Crashing the helicopter right into the facility and only by sheer luck trapping the TX and managing not to accidentally kill John Connor and Kate Brewster.

'I'm back', practically breaking the fourth wall as he says the line.

Somehow being able to hold the massive door up with one arm without just being crushed like he was in the compressor in T1.

Suddenly being able to break the TX's endoskeleton with one hand - why couldn't he do that earlier?

Silly ''you are Terminated!'' line said by one emotionless machine to another emotionless machine.

Well, despite all of T3's shortcomings, I enjoyed it and like the TX design.

Yeah, I have to admit that I picked up one of the Terminatrix figures and it really does look cool. The red in the midst of all the black outfits is pretty slick.

well, he was stating obvious facts throughout the whole movie, not just that time.

i agree with all the rest of your post :)

:lol

As you know there are 'detailed files' of criticism that can be levelled at that entire film, I was just limiting myself to the portion where the T-850 looks like this

Incidentally

I'm fairly certain there should be something there. How do they think his head attaches to the body, just the pistons and tubes on the side?

that empty space was stupid as ****, i couldn't unsee it since 2005, when he stood up from the crash. i guess they were so proud of that particular scene.
of course there should at least be a spine column there, plus theeth area, plus lots of other jaw mechanisms.

i couldn't believe Winston designed it when i saw that untalented piece of crap.
but then 2 things happened:
- i learned that Winston didn't design the original terminator skeleton, Cameron did;
- transformers, avengers, ADI with their predaturds showed me that untalented and stupid was the new fashionable.

I won't defend T3, I'm pretty sure we're on the same boat in regards to the Terminator films I was just curious as to why you didn't like it. I guess the plausibility of that scene never crossed my mind because it is after all a film about time traveling cyborgs :lol.
