So my retailer asked permission to take the money for the DX14 on Friday but now they seem to be away for their Christmas break.

Looking like I will not get him until January now.

I had gotten mine off ebay for $200 flat shipped. Figured if I got it for that a few weeks ago, certainly it would go for $185 after Xmas. Looks like Christmas came early. And judging by the response, no real excitement for this even at the lower price.

Yeah, which is ironic considering I've been contemplating getting two extra Mime Joker True Types for my both of my Hot Toys Two-Face figures. Both of their right knee joints disintegrated.

Tax was only $13 , but I'm doing local pickup since I'll be in the area soon. Total cost is probally $195

That's weird on the tax, that's like 7.5% -- no one charges that low, you got lucky. Maybe because you're doing a pick-up. Too far for me to travel or I'd be kickin' myself right now. As it is I got it for about what I would have with tax plus ship from CSC. Funny thing was, when I did the Best Offer on ebay I never thought they'd go for it. And when they did, I immediately felt I offered too much.

But hey, this figure is well worth the price if you have an affinity for the character or Jack.

I know its supposed to be, but so many merchants charge more. Often 8.75 to 9%. If you eat meals out here check your receipt. You'd be shocked with what they get away with. Check ebay sellers and what they charge for CA homestate buyers. But glad to know CSC is being fair and correct.

Anyway, shipping or gas kills the deal for me along with the tax. Sucks for me out here.... except for the weather and the girls.

I would have thought weather and girls would make up for just about everything else.
Yeah, I've had my first taste of this really with my BC releases. The Doctor figures cost me 180 quid each, and about 30+ was uk tax. Then a whole bunch of postage bringing total to 200+ each.
The last HT I got was this Mime Joker and evil Supes, which I bought right off the shelf from a store I walked to for 200 for the pair. I do like not having to pay tax!
