According to MC, DX01 was a $160 PO at Urban Collector, DX02 was $165 at BBTS and DX12 was $240 at BBTS. DX11 was $253 at Alter Ego and $275 at Sideshow (exclusive) and BBTS.
Yep, those were the days...[emoji26]According to MC, DX01 was a $160 PO at Urban Collector, DX02 was $165 at BBTS and DX12 was $240 at BBTS. DX11 was $253 at Alter Ego and $275 at Sideshow (exclusive) and BBTS.
Yup, the first two DX figures were basically standard MMS prices. One DX 01 I bought for $160, then I bought a second brand new/mint off of ebay for $120 a few weeks later. I bought x2 of DX 02 from BBTS for $160 something too. Other retailers always had great deals.
Then Sideshow came in and got the rights and ok to distribute DC products and it's been down hill (or up hill as far as cost goes) since. Reeve Superman, Nicholson Joker, Keaton Batman and the Toy Fairs 2011 Begins Bale were the ones that pushed the pricing through the roof.
That would be pretty friggin' sweet. On an unrelated note, I wonder why we haven't seen Drax yet? And there's a DeLorean that's still up in the air.
They could be making some alterations to Drax. As for the Delorean, don't expect it too soon. It's been about two years since the '66 Batmobile was shown, and it's still not up, yet.
They must be new. [emoji6]Yeah, I don't think we'll see a PO on the DeLorean until next year, but some guys are convinced it'll come quickly because it's been on Sideshow's Coming Soon page for weeks.
Nah, I think $300 for a DX will be more the rule than the exception. DX14 is essentially a "gift" at only $230.
They must be new. [emoji6]
There's no real basis for that though. The DX13 is the only one to break the $300 mark so far and that was a loaded set and worth the price in my opinion.

The Batmobile was on Sideshow's "coming soon" page right after SDCC 2012, as well. You get my point.
Those were the good ol' time to be collecting, wasnt it?
I remembered not POing the DX01 as I want to buy it immediately upon release in HK, and back then the HK resellers was pretty decent, bout $50-75 mark up than the PO price, which was bout $260 shipped for the DX01.
Yup. Then remember when they actually parted out their sets and started the auctions at .99 cents?
"Good deals" are essentially a thing of the past.
I think DX07 was around $300 as well, but that came with two figures and a huge antenna.
I'd love it if future DX releases were all $250 or less, but I don't think that'll be the case. I have a feeling that either the Jack license was about to run out, or HT couldn't put something else together, so they gave us a nice, but non-essential, Mime Joker instead of an ambitious one. Great character, not a memorable costume, sparse accessories and the infamous cardboard backdrop.
If you just go by the rising prices of DXs over the past few years, how can future releases not start at $270? That's just another reason why I can't wait for the Returns PO. I want to see how far the trend goes.
