HOT TOYS - DX15 - Batman Returns KEATON BATMAN

Watched the Kevin Smith Batman Returns commentary on youtube last night. Man he has very little love for this film. And the 89 one he seems to only like for nostalgia reasons. Funny commentaries though.

Guys, with the recent release of BD Robocop and Alex Murphy 2 pack and the earlier Steve Rogers and Stealth suit Captain America. It got me thinking. Would Hot Toys actually end up doing a Batman Returns Batman and a Batman/Bruce Wayne in tux 2 pack?
That would be sweet and also better value for collectors.

As long as this is achievable in figure form, I odn't care about a tux or second pair of clothing.







They can throw a black turtle neck, blue jeans and shoes in if they want. But as long as there's a Bruce Wayne portrait, torn cowl and maybe the glider, I'm game.

After seeing what they've achieved with the surprise Alex Murphy/Weller reveal today. There's no doubt in my mind that this Returns Batman will come with a Wayne/Keaton headsculpt atleast.

I missed out on the '89 figure because I wasn't collecting 1:6 figures at the time. But i'm getting this one.

You haven't really missed out. There's always a good deal to be had here and there, you just have to be patient and don't pay out of the a$$.

I wasn't all that jazzed about Bale Bruce in a suit, so I wouldn't buy a Keaton in a tux either. BR Bats with alternate ripped cowl head, Catwoman and Penguin and I'm out.

Bruce in a suit is boring. I could give two ****s about a Keaton in a couple of Armani suits or a tux to reenact him talking to civilians as an average joe. As long as we get an alternate Wayne headsculpt with the extra cowl, I'm good. If Hot Toys wants to be cute and throw in a turtle neck/jeans Batcave Bruce in the future, I'd jump at that, but for now just his portrait is enough for me. After seeing their Weller, I got high hopes for their Keaton. If it does come with the headsculpt, I wonder if Yulli will be sculpting it.

The only two pack I could see them doing is for Catwoman clean and damaged, or something. Doubt they'd go through the different looks with Penguin, especially now that NECA has taken the chance of making the cool onsie look. Hot Toys will probably go with the safe, classy mayor look.

Only way I want a Keaton Bruce is if it's from that scene in the first movie when he's visiting Vicki Vale, to pair with a HT VV, naturally.

I had a look on Ebay UK, and the only new one there was for £349 or best offer with £14.99 postage. To me, that sounds steep. What would be a reasonable price? Either way, I am determined to get the Returns one if/when it is released, even with the customs charges i'll probably have to pay.

That's $560, before postage. That's way too much. Have you tried this board or eBay.com? You should be able to get it for less than $375 USD, total, especially if you go through PayPal.
