Yes, the barrel and chest are unnecessary extras. You can see from the way the monkey is sculpted that he's really only intended to sit on a shoulder, arm or leg, not on a flat surface.

The remaining $45 also includes worldwide shipping. (KG Hobby is doing the set for $64 delivered).

But I don't find it very tempting at this price.

I think someone needs to start sculpting some monkeys....
