Hot Toys DX15 Captain Jack Sparrow (Dead Men Tell No Tales)

I still haven't pre-ordered this one, even though I want him. I have no other POTC figures and this would be a one-off. But with that display, it should work fine as a solo figure.

They need to do a better job of futzing the hair.
This one is looking very good and I love that base.

No way I am buying this doll hair version. Maybe this release will cause the older release to drop low enough for me to buy.

I think the real hair gives it that extra push of realism. I won't be picking it up since I already have the first DX but if I didn't have that one I'd get this.

I can understand the resistance to the faux hair based on more recent con shots, but that’s a figure that’s been packed and brought around all over and clearly is looking more and more disheveled with each show. The faux hair looks great in the proto pics and the earliest con shots.

If anything, I'm glad that Jack's extra hair is faux hair as it may be easier to remove it that way (I wasn't really a fan of the added hair to Jack's look in DMTNT, so I may try removing it from this figure so that it looks more like Jack in the previous films).

Interesting. When it was a trilogy, I preferred that look as it was dominant, however, with OST and DMTNT bringing back the mix of dreads and regular strands of hair from Curse, I've come to look at DMC and AWE as oddities, I see a wig more than I see natural hair, where the other 3 looks feel more real to me in comparison.

I too am eager for Jack to finally ship out (no pun intended). I wasn't collecting back when DX06 was released, so this will be my first HT PotC figure.

I'm impatiently awaiting him as I've missed my DX06 for a long time, but, if delay means possibly enhancing the smirk sculpt and getting the whole figure really well done, I'll wait, chances are this could be the last HT Jack ever and my last chance at my ultimate Jack Sparrow so I want no issues when he releases.

I'm sure he's also a low priority vs hot properties with new movies coming out or higher demand even when movies aren't out.
