What methods have folks used for adding wear and tear to the sash without destroying it?

Looks like it is a lot thinner looking in the film too.

In this regard, Jack’s costume is tricky at sixth scale, but overall the DX Jack’s seem to do the best job at it overall.

I'd try a tea bath to add some aging.

Thanks, I’m really interested in the fraying of the edges, I have no idea where to even begin with that. One thing I did with DX06 was wet it and ball it up with elastic around it for like a day to lose the ironed look.

You can take a small steel brush to the edges and get a fraying effect.

Thanks for the tip!

Transformation of the coat has begun.

Looking forward to what you come up with MaulFan. A little too grey but a great start :clap

As Riggs mentioned, a steel brush could work for the fraying but if that’s too rough, I’d go with a sanding block. Takes a little longer but you have more control Imo. That’s what I used for my Medi sparrow sash as well as a tea bath to get the worn look way back when

Not sure the terms but what I’m doing is I mixed paint to match the shade i posted a swatch of earlier then I Dan litter bits on the coat with a brush and then use the brush to rub the colo in and spread it out.

For some reason, the coat is making it look more pure gray than what the paint looks like so I added more brown and orange.

On the left is the color I used earlier, on the right is the updated color, I think I’ve got it now.

This is the one toy I've actually been given the blessing to buy from the missus. Looks absolutely stunning. Can't wait to add it to the collection.

Honestly, coming to this thread is making the wait a little unbearable. While I love my T1 Arnold, this will probably be the finest addition to me collection from what I've seen.

Yep, that right side looks excellent. Looks genuine.

I will have to do this once you perfect the technique.
