No. I had him on PO, but decided against it for a couple of reasons. The main one being that I realized I'm not into PotC all that much to where I now feel the urge to have him in my collection when space is limited. I have the AWE figure and only really got that one to have a bit of variety in my collection at the time. When this came out I was going to sell that one to fund this one, but had a tough time selling it. I canceled this one and simply left the AWE one boxed up and figured that if I want to display Jack again, I'll just keep that one. Or I'll just try selling it again and be done with Jack.

I was considering cancelling my dx15 preorder and buying a dx06 instead as I would like to have the black pearl wheel, but is the dx15 a lot better figure wise? I could always just keep my dx15 and try to find the black pearl wheel for sale by itself.

I like the wheel base better too, but this figure is superior.

Ah, I see.
The tough part about collecting...self control.
I myself are in the same situation in that I'm running out of room, so I want to make sure I only buy must haves.

There's a lot to consider in this situation. Outright, the overall production quality of everything with DX15 looks better than DX06.

That said taking the bases out of the equation, the differences may not be as apparent depending on your display. If you do figure photography or plan to display him somewhere that you'd be seeing the figure quite close up, then I think you want to lean towards DX15, if the's going to be on a high shelf or scene most of the time from 5 feet away or more, I think the quality difference starts to blur at that point and the DX06 would have just as equal a presence.

From what I've seen, the wheel base and DX heads go for around $100 each on eBay, so it's a trade, you could get DX06 with the wheel and pay extra for the DX15 head, or get DX15 and add the wheel, cost to upgrade is going to be pretty close to same.

I'd say wager your situation against the price you can get each for and pick what makes most sense from there.

Yeah, I’m guessing their stock will come through Sideshow, the NRD drove me away from them, and while they didn’t at the time, $4 shipping at BBTS sweetens the pot.

I’m close to cracking but I can hold out, I’m close to having a Sparrow figure that is even more my ultimate Sparrow than my custom DX06 was, I already like my customized hat and coat more than the last ones.

Generally takes 10 days from Sideshow receipt to BBTS receipt... hence the 10 notice we'll likely get on Weds or Thursday this week from BBTS.

Then their $4 shipping is another week or 10 days, almost regardless of proximity (I have a friend in Chicago who gets stuff from BBTS and its takes it time).

I'm still guesstimating April 3-5 for mine.

Even not owning the figure I can say for certain it doesn't fit a regular Detolf shelf. Unless you put him next to the base or let him sit of course.
